- Hi Everyone! In today's video I'm going to be comparing the original Shiseido Synchroskin Self Refreshing Foundation to the NEW Shiseido Radiant Lifting Self Refreshing Foundation! I just want to say thank you to being so dedicated to this foundation, and continuing to mention it. I love a natural coverage with no fragrance due to very sensitive skin. I FINALLY bought this after seeing you mention it so many times. I got the original, wearing it over my spf. I applied it with a dry sponge which is new to me but it does something magical. My skin has neverrrrrrr looked more stunning. I put it on my 65 year old mom and it looked great on her as well!

I love the original one too, so much. I have my eye on the radiant one to pick up during the Sephora sale, but I'm still unsure. I haven't seen a bad review on it yet though, so that's encouraging. This video was super helpful, thank you :)
Hi Amanda, I need to pick up this foundation and keep forgetting. I could see using both on my skin. My skins on the dryer side, but I used to bo oilier in my tzone so I also have texture on my cheeks, nose and chin. I’ve also wondered if you pair this with the Sheseido concealer? Thank you for your review. You do an awesome job reviewing products! These foundations both look very seemless on your skin. 💚💚💚

To my eye the radiant side looks a little more blurred or is it my imagination.
This makeup is not all that I bought it used it three times and hated it looks like you have on makeup if you like that look
when i saw this on sephora i was so confused bc the names are similar and the bottles in the pictures looks the same😫
One bottle is clear (the Radiant Lifting) and the other is frosted (the Self-Refreshing).

How does the radiant foundation differ from the makeup forever reboot? Would love to know there differences, as they both sound dreamy!
Omg I second this! Bc the reboot foundation is SO good. Wears well, feels light weight, and looks so natural!

The reboot foundation is more lightweight and light coverage while the shisedio is medium coverage. Both very beautiful!
The new one has a dewy finish while the old one has a more matte finish.
You've sold me on the Radiant Lifiting! Also so random but where did you get your backdrop? It's such a beautiful color and we have pretty similar hair color I would love to try it out!!
have you tried the no7 hydraluminous moisturising foundation - I haven't tried shisedo but the way you describe how it looks on your skin gives me the same vibe. For my dry skin it is a satin finish that doesn't cling to dry patches and long wearing.
Amanda, I really think you’d really enjoy the Shiseido cream blushes. It’s like a whipped texture that dries with a soft, powder finish.👌🥰
So i tried out the radiant foundation because of your review & I like that it does looks like skin however the formula does make some areas where I have texture more visible 😟do you have any tips on how to avoid that from happening???Or should I try out the original formula instead? I have dry to normal skin

La refresh te hubiera servido mejor pero no pasa nada agrégale a esta misma base un par de gotas de aceite de jojoba, O cualquier aceite seco para que te quede más hidratante en la piel..
Puedes usar antes del maquilla un primer para poros que sea hidratante
Have you tried their Synchro Skin Primer? It dries down to a light powder finish and works very well with the foundation. Give it a minute to dry before applying foundation. I sometimes use a BB cream (Kiko Milano) as a primer -- also works well.
The original Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation is my HG. When I finally finish my last backup I’ll try the new one. I was afraid the new one is not as good but your raves about it give me hope 🥰

That and your detailed reviews make your videos so helpful so thank you!! ☺️❤️ I personally use Retin-A so my skin is not only acne prone but also quite dry and sensitive usually. I remember loving how skin-like and smoothing the Shiseido Sychroskin foundation looked on you in your most recent foundation collection video and wanted to get it. Is it good at covering up redness without clogging pores?
This may sound weird, but how does it compare to Koh Gen Do’s foundations? I ask because I’m in the market for a new one! My Josie Maran is a year and a half old and gets all over my damn mask. 😂

Hi, very good video! Just one little fact: actually that is not the original formula of Syncro Skin. Unfortunately they discontinued the original one despite its huge succes after 2 years and changed it for the self refreshing formula. Love this one too but the original was even better!
Is the synchro skin foundation fragrance free?
They have this cushion version in Asia. That one is the GOAL! I haven’t seen it in the US.

Do you wear spf under this? I FINALLY bought the original and applied over my drunk elephant umbra tint and it was stunning and dewy

I’m looking for a very light coverage foundation with a natural finish to not cover anything but just even out my skin tone a bit. Now I’m thinking I could just use the shiseido foundation in a very light layer? I never use foundation at the moment so I really have no experience. If someone has tips or other foundation recommendations, please share them! :)
I personally really like the charlotte tilbury light wonder. Beautiful light coverage. I can always rely on it
id honestly just recommend a lighter coverage concealer to kind of spot correct like the bare minerals one, or Josie Maran, or the bendy avocado one!
Have a look on the Koh gen do Aqua or the ilia skin tint
Hello beautiful! What do u use under radiant lifting? Somehow it ends up becoming patchy on my skin no matter what moisturizer/primer I use :( Tho it didn’t use to be like that when I tried a tester a year ago, but I don’t remember what i combined it with🥲

Great question! Original is more transfer proof but neither are prone to a lot of transferring!

What sort of "glowy primer" do you recommend? My skin is almost chalky it's so dry. I also ha vitiligo, would the Radiant Glow have enough coverage?
I’ve wanted to try this foundation for awhile, but then I saw on their website that they also have the powder foundation and cushion foundation (love the wet n wild one). Now another to choose from. Ugh lol

a couple questions (for anyone who has used either formula): do you fully powder either? do you find they transfer easily?
If I just wear moisturizer under then it don’t needs any powder but if you wear a primer I‘d recommend to powder it down a little

Put the two together & bam.... u got the perfect foundation combo! I mix the shisedo original foundation with the It Cosmetics raidiant CC & that makes for the perfect foundation combo! However, I'd love to try the Shisedo orginal & dewy would be a nice combo.
