Finally a "old" phone or more like different phone video. I'm getting so sick and tired of seeing different videos of the same phones. Samsung vs Apple or Google vs one of those two. I know this is a old phone. But there are other great phones out there to review. Damn.😒
At the time, it was the first time I bought a phone outright instead of taking a carrier deal. I was trying to choose between the Nexus 5X and Motorola Moto X. The Moto X was at a price too good to pass up and I ended up happy with my choice. The large screen and front facing speakers were great!
Older phones were just better. Don't get me wrong, I love my current phone, (OnePlus 7T pro on Android 11), but I bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 just because I used to daily drive it, and found it for 20$ without a scratch. I installed lineage os android 11 and remembered why I loved it so much. One word. Beautiful superamoled with PPI: 576, beautiful vivid colors. It plays 1440p 60fps videos at 2x speed without dropping frames. It's a beast for watching YT in bed.
My dad had a nexus 5, but had to replace with an s20 5 years ago after the power button broke. The phone would keep restarting and turning off, making it completely unusable
You are fortunate if you could use it after 2 years! Mine went into bootloop in less than 2 years and both Google & LG denied for a free repair or replacement! Decided to bid farewell to Google phones for ever
I had it for a short while. Coming from a Samsung Galaxy S4, I thought I’d give a mid-range device a chance but I didn’t like it and ended up getting a Galaxy S7 when it came out.
I had and still have the Pixel 6 sitting in my closet. I loved that phone, but at the time it seemed HUGE. Funny how my current phone has a 6.7 inch screen.
What’s your opinion on the new iPad mini 7? I don’t like it. It’s the mini 6 with faster chips. No new oled display 😰 I’ll stick with my mini 6 until the next one
You don’t need to ask that cause: a.) Completely unrelated video and brand, and b.) He’s a tech reviewer, he will do a video on it once he gets his hands on it and has spent some time with it, as with all other tech reviewers.
@@duffelbag5682this. While it is still a possibility esp if the iPhone SE4 leaks will become reality, I still don’t see them putting an OLED on the iPad Mini anytime soon as even the more expensive iPad Air doesn’t have an OLED display. So far only the iPad Pros have the OLED display. But if ever Apple does add it to the mini, we will see the iPad Air get the OLED display upgrade first then the iPad mini.
I wish this phone would get a new version with the same design but with updated tech (but with the bezels, single camera, rear fingerprint sensor and front speaker(s))
Had the 2/16, Google Music kept shutting down due to lack of ram... shouldn't have given away my 3/32 Redmi Note 4 for it 😅 Went for a 4/64 Xiaomi Mi A1 a couple of months later as the 5X went into bootloop 🥲
The Snapdragon 810 was NOT a better processor than the 808. It overheated and throttled constantly. The whole reason the 808 was released was because the 810 was so fail.
I had the Nexus 5X but it went into infinite bootloop less than 18 months after I bought it. The phone wasn’t that bad in itself but overall it has been my worst phone ever since I got so little use out of it. I replaced it with a Samsung Galaxy S7.
As a professional troll and a life long contrarian absolutist it pains me to say that I whole heartily agree with the above comment. I never agree and yet here I am.
Bro i still have the one and it's motherboard is dead. Wish someone would provide me it's motherboard and i would really be nostalgic using this in the present. 😢
Yeah, Android flagships from mainstream brands at that time got 2 major Android version updates and that was it. Wasn't until 2019 or so that flagships got 3 years of Android version updates (S10, LG G8, OnePlus 7 Pro, etc)
I had the 6P, it died and Google sent me a OG Pixel to replace it.
I was blessed with an 8 and a half p and let me tell you that thing still goes hard every time.

Wait you found a working one that is not stuck bootlooping?
I like the 5x photos more than current flagships. The photos feel more like a camera and less like an HDR processing machine
Wow, I'm surpised you found one still operational.
My dad had a nexus 5, but had to replace with an s20 5 years ago after the power button broke. The phone would keep restarting and turning off, making it completely unusable
I have one right now as side device for certain things, its very very slow these days lol.
You are fortunate if you could use it after 2 years!

Horrible phone. It was slower than my Nexus 4 and died after 1,5 year. 2GBs of RAM was simply not enough.
agreed. had this phone for a while. sucked.
Well the Nexus 4 was flagship at the time and the 5X was more mid-range/budget which probably explains your performance deficit
Oh hey didn't expect you here
I agree, it was a slow phone. But really good camera 📸
Yes, I had this phone, it was a bad phone.
I had it for a short while. Coming from a Samsung Galaxy S4, I thought I’d give a mid-range device a chance but I didn’t like it and ended up getting a Galaxy S7 when it came out.
You have one that doesn’t boot loop? I’m surprised!

Another great video. Thanks.

apple is not going to put an oled display on the ipad mini

Not even the iPad Pro or MacBook Pro features OLED, for whatever reason
Watchin this on my N5X on lineage os Android 10 😊
Can you make a video for the lg x power 2? It was my dads 2nd smartphone!

Sir, I would like to ask, are you okay? Why didn't you make a video on 91 Tech? Thanks Sir
Ahhh the days of me being an Android diehard. I miss it truthfully. Too bad Google is the Devil.
😂😂😂

Amazed you found one that hasn't bootlooped yet. Absolute turd of a phone
Can u try 1+6t
Bro i still have the one and it's motherboard is dead.

It wasn't lg fault 808/810 both was way to hot every phone that had the 810 had to get some exotic cooling

Only.2 years of updates?
The iPhone 6s/6s Plus got 7 years of updates, iOS 9-15.

i had this phone when i was in middle school
same
Ooooo fun
The battely in this phone died in 2.5 years. The termal issue was awful.
Android 8 is still supported though. When iPhones get support dropped, it’s harder to get apps for them
@@AtomSquirrel from 8 to 15 is 7 years and iphone has about 7 years of support. Android does not have any benefits here.
It was nice and smooth but my god that battery was terrible.
Mine for infinity loop start.. it wasn’t that great phone for me anyways.
I absolutely love your phone videos. I watch them everyday. You’re the reason I love iPhone. Keep up the amazing work
Had it,was literally e-waste
The problem: made by LG
I still think Nexus is a better phone name compared to Pixel
2 years of usage and it dead. For me the good thing is the camera. Ahead of it's time with very reasonable price
I really wanted to like this phone, but it was so damn laggy I couldn't stand it. Terrible display and speaker too.
100% POS phone, I had one and it got bootloop issues in less than 1.5 years of use. Even when it was working, 2GB of RAM turned out to be not enough
died with after years dead cpu
