They called her watie Katie & would follow & chase her endlessly. She could not even hold a job because she was harassed so much while at work. I think Princess Catherine did an amazing job at supporting William and letting the public get to know her over time & now they love her. It’s a job I would never want & I give her so much credit for doing such a wonderful job!!!

I am very lucky to have been in London at that time. As I was there for 2 years, I grew quite fond of the Royal Family and the history of Britain. As HM The Queen is no more and it is a sad time for all of us around the world, it is truly the start of new beginning as HM King Charles takes over the reins of the British Monarchy🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.
I think it is underestimated just how much time the late Queen bought for the current King Charles to rehab his image in the public's eye. And now that she did, I think King Charles can have a pretty successful reign, whatever number of years he has left.
Being the head of the Royal Family may not make you a ruler these days, but you do become a leader of sorts. If the Queen had died around that time and the succession pass over Charles for William back then, I think it would have brought him more pressure than he could handle; he would have been too young. Charles may not have the best PR image, but the man was more than ready to succeed his mother whenever the time came. And now he'll serve his reign for however much time he has, and when the time comes, William will be ready. Elizabeth's long reign really did her family a service, I think, as far as making sure her successors would be okay.
Now that he is HM KCIII, and I personally see that he’s matured much - even from 20 years ago -I believe he will be a stable leader and will follow in his mother’s footsteps. He’s been waiting his entire life to have this role and title. I do believe he is ready, from what I’ve seen him decide on even before his mother passed away.

I used to despise charles and camilla when i was young. But after facts had been presented, several shows made about their lives, and seeing how hardworking and dedicated charles is to the crown, i feel he deserved to have his time on the throne.
William had the added pressure of knowing his parents and infact three of the Queens four childrens marriages failed. Catherine was labelled waitie Katie as they courted for 10 years and also broke up at one point. William did not want to repeat what happened to his mother who married at 19 and it turned out to be the right decision.

People are unhappy because Charles is morally shady and it resulted in a broken marriage and home. Not because he is not qualified for the job. But to be king means a person of good character and values as well as a good role model. One which he is not.
Yes, but I think you’ll find countless examples of royalty making great leaders but poor parental figures. Not excusing Charles actions, but he isn’t the only Royal to be like this. It’s just Charles, unlike other royals, did a very poor job of hiding his affair.

Had Harry grown up back then he would never have been allowed to marry Meghan, while cheating is always wrong I can empathize that Charles's entire existance has been about being a good heir
