The St. John's University Chappell Players Theatre Group proudly presents WORKING: The Musical!
"Based on Studs Terkel's best-selling book of interviews with American workers, WORKING paints a vivid portrait of the men and women the world so often takes for granted: the schoolteacher, the waitress, the millworker, the mason, the trucker, the fireman, the housewife, just to name a few. It's a highly original look at the American landscape that's simply impossible to forget."

Fantastic production. Millwork is really my favorite number but the entire musical is great!
Such an important beautiful book/play/musical. Love it !
thanks so much for uploading this! this is quite possibly my favorite version of this musical on youtube! :D
edit: this IS my favorite version of this musical, particularly for your rendition of "If I Could've Been" at 44:32! please never delete this masterpiece :,)
This cast. Is so cUTe.
Be sure to check out Homewood Flossmoor Highschool version of the Musical coming soon in May
We would, but we go to school in New York! Good luck though, guys, and tell Mr. Rose I said hi!
I finally figured out why so many itnerlude cuts! Small cast requires them, larger cast doesnt, AND with this also being the newer version with added stories, etc, etc, etc
Great stuff!! Does anyone know how I can get the 90 minute version shown on PBS in 1981 or 2? PLEEESSSE!!
Haha 867-5309! Anyone else catch that?

Did the fireman speek fast enough?
Just curious here: How big was your pit? Was it on stage behind the US scrim or down below, to the side?
When I did this in 1990, we were behind the scrim. It was a small combo of piano, bass, drums, and guitar. Bare Bones. You can tell this version has been updated from the original.
This is genius blocking and use of props to really let the audience connect...my production is gonna blow. Still special in our own way, but not as creative as it could be...sorry Mr. S
video okay, but sound deficient. Haven't seen enough to comment on performances yet. What drew me to this was that one of my best theatre friends was a man named Curt Crews, a very talented musical director/performer!
What is the name of the song that starts at 1:07:45 it's killing me please help
A very good day
Nicely acted and staged. No mics? Hard to hear individual lines.
sWindows.System.Launcher.LaunchUriAsync(new System.Uri("URI_below"));
Giving up on this video - audio bad, can't hear and/or understand. Granted, my hearing not the best at my age, but I know the show and still can't "hear" it!
Bad acoustics
What kind of pathetic program is this? The language is horrible; absolutely repulsive. Shame on everyone involved in it.
get over yourself
Shut the hell up stop acting like a kid
