Thank you so much, i'm doing something similiar. One question though, by connecting that two batteries output to common PDB, do you have any problem with reverse current or one battery trying to charge the other battery? Im still looking for PDB for my fixed wing build.
@@Shadowquad I had to rethink everything as I'm drawing 250A at 95% throttle. Tried to desolder 8AWG and resolder 6AWG but its near impossible due to gauge size. I don't recommend this at all. Haha
This is an "in series" tutorial. I think you could do a parallel set up but would need a FrSky FLVSS LiPo Voltage Sensor, then SmartPort into the Pixhawk. Use the voltage divider on Battery 2.
Hey man, I’m a bit confused about Mauch !! I want to be able to read voltage & current to preform a flight time estimation while flying to manage missions but I’m not sure what setup to use, I’m using 2 PL Mauch (distribution boards) and 2 x 7000mA batteries in a quadcopter setup. I’m planing to use this to achieve the above : drones.altigator.com/mauch-power-module-for-pixhawk-up-to-6s-200a-p-42366.html The question do I need to use two of these ?? do I need to add BEC or my PL Mauch enough ? Thanks in advanced
You need this system for dual batteries. www.craftandtheoryllc.com/store/mauch-premium-line-dual-battery-kit-voltage-current-sensor-regulated-power-supply/#configuration
@@BananafishRox wait so I can use a car battery? Since it's 12 volts and my solar panels are 12 volts. The power module adjusts the voltage for my Cube computer and all that stuff? Sorry I'm new to this I need hand holding :S
@@Anthony-lk5dm Sorry, That was my band's account. A LiPo battery has several cells as a car battery has one. The purpose of the Mauch system is to draw power evenly to get more accuracy during flight and to add time to flight by drawing from the strongest cells first. You cannot do this with a solar panel.
This was REALLY good bro!
Did this so I wouldn't forget! ;-)
Thanks man, this video really helped me out!
Good. That was the whole point.
This is awesome, thank you!

Great video. Just out of interest why did you opt for the 8AWG as opposed to 10AWG? Interested to see what kind of amp draw you were getting.
Probably overdid it but 10 was probably plenty.

@@antznixon What? Jeez, how big are the motors?
can you tell me about list of products on video.?
These were bought at Craft & Theory but you can probably get at IR-Lock. The product depends on uses. Series or parallel?
What about battery monitor 2? How can we see both battery voltages

how to calculate voltage divider. my battery is 50AH 24V
It's all there. Listen and watch closely. You need to input the number that came on the strip of paper...

Hi man, what is the setup using Qgroundcontrol? I’m having trouble making battery indicator works
Can my battery be like a car battery?
You are not trying to manage voltage in a single battery configuration. This is for measuring true voltage for drone flight.

@@Shadowquad right ok, so a car battery is not going to work. It needs to be lifepo?
My solar setup is just to recharge the battery
