Actually they kinda meant to be mid dps? 😅😅😅 Hoyoverse always has this kind of hidden agenda in most of 4 stars like for example giving them out of place ascension stats like offensive stats or scaling on offensive stats or talent mechanics that make their dmg ceiling higher and constellations that giving them access to dmg which we all know is very odd considering they are 4 stars But the best example for these 4 stars are, but not limited to, them: Diona, Bennett, Barbara, Sucrose, Yaoyao, Kujou Sara, Kirara, Gorou, Collei, Dori, Candace, Faruzan, Layla, Lynette, Charlotte and the upcoming buffer/healer Chevreuse. They are also meant to be built as dps too as their kit has a certain hint of them as a dps 😅😅😅
Yeah theres lots of subtle things that can affect how viable it is to use units that werent meant for being a DPS or whatever, so I always have fun trying to make the most out of what Ive got available. Funnily enough, at least for newer 4 stars, the more they “intend” you to build some DPS (crit particularly) on them, the more the unit seems to be harder to make use of as a DPS. Good example is someone else in the comments that mentioned Lynette. Hoyo seems to have intended for people to build some dmg stats on her (atk/dmg%/crit build on 4pc VV is probably the best), but she still wont really do much damage lol
Huh? There are many 4* meant to be dpss, some that are main dpss some that are off field? Some 4* main dpss: -Heizou -Yanfei -Razor And in terms of off field, some of the very best dpss in the game or 4*: -Xingqiu -Xiangling -Fischl
Yeah shes been my favorite 4 star to use as an unconventional DPS lol, and as an added bonus she is a decent shielding unit as a baseline, plus her wall climbing gimmick for OW!

You can get there eventually if you set your mind to it! It can just take a lot of time before you feel like you have enough options available to be able to deal with most abysses
My favorite team with Kirara is a hyperbloom team using Kirara, Fischl, Barbara, and Kazuha. You put down oz, swirl and ult with Kazuha to grab the electro infusion, skill with Barbara and use catbox to bounce between enemies creating blooms in Kazuha's field where his ult can trigger the hyperbloom. It works shockingly well even with a lightly invested Kirara.
My two favorite characters are Furina and Kirara, i see this as an absolute win. I built them both as on field dps though, so id have to change my builds around a little to play them together.
sayu also got quite the buff from furina, just like kirara she can't normal she synnergizes with furina because she wanted to run atk goblet before and now with damage% from furina it should pull ahead a little more she can VV shred for furina and shes your healer :)
Yeah I dont have her built but based on some people Ive talked to Sayu definitely got a nice upgrade with Furina. Honestly, Furina benefitting a lot of 4 star units is a big part of why I like her a lot
I played around her, but what I saw is thet you need her C6 to heal from ATK% with her rolling. (As it is convert your EM to ATK so you can build full EM without loosing out on ATK) For some reasen her healing when you roll based on her EM and not ATK but her Burst is sclae on ATK.

DPS Kirara, yay! I also tried to build her as DPS, and I use her with Raiden (2nd DPS + convenient E), Nahida (EM bonus + additional energy particles) and Kokomi (heal + atk bonus from Dragontales); she does around 50-65k with her burst (if it crits). It hadn't come to my mind to try her with Furina yet, though! Thanks a lot for the idea :3
Not sure, but i think Lisa with Tales, Bennett and any other sub dps/buffer like Nahida. Lisa and Nahida to trigger quicken and Kirara burst on time to trigger aggravate.
i really like having kirara on the team for overworld because i HAAAAAAATE climbing, but she's so meh that i don't. i know c2 furina makes literally anyone abyss-viable, so i might have a second look at her when i'm bored. i'm out of non-meme characters to upgrade anyway and i'm saving for c2 nahida right now (plans subject to change, if something i really want shows up there goes c2 nahida into flames)
I use her as a shielder in my Yae aggravage team and it's honestly shocked me how much damage her burst does, even when she's mostly just built with HP. I'm sure I've got an MH set I could toss on her to give this a try
Yeah a hybrid shielding/dmg build is an interesting idea. Fwiw I do think this team performs noticeably better with Fischl instead of Kirara lol, as she just provides a ton of damage to single target teams, but Kirara is a lot of fun, which is more important to me
I played kirara/kuki/furina/nahida, my furina is c2 though so I don't need to have a teamwide healer to max stacks, just healing the onfielder is enough, I found this to easily be the strongest kirara team, it's just alhaitham quickbloom with kirara instead of him so it's not a surprise it's strong.
Still at C0 on my Kirara even after burning 30 pulls on the current banner. I did get my Kuki up to C5 but I want the neko up to C2 at least. Haven't tried her past floor 10 of Abyss but next cycle I might be tempted.
Kirara constellations are pretty meh overall. C4 is theoretically good for more application and a more quickswap dps kirara (but not relevant for on field Kirara like this video), and C6 is a minor team dmg increase, but thats kinda it. Pretty much any way you can use Kirara is functional at C0, which imo is a really good thing about her
I’d love some cons for her but I got a guarantee lined up by accident and super don’t want Ayato or Cyno. But at least Kirara gave my Summit Shaper something to do.
My main aggravate team has always been yae, kirara, fischl and sucrose, and despite kirara only being c0 she's performed very well for me. Normally kirara's shield is strong enough to stay alive but if i need a healer, like against coppelia in abyss, i replace sucrose w jean. Jean can also pick up kirara's bombs which is pretty funny lol. I'd say my kirara is probably one of my strongest chars in terms of stats but kinda held back by c0. Def one of my favorite chars for sure
I honestly think Jean is better than baizhu in this case because VV shred on furina's sub dps is genuinely very good, results in more cores, and she can group kirara's cat bombs. Could be wrong though. Also comedy, I did 12-3 with hu tao since my yoimiya, despite having equal investment, is not c3/r2 like my tao is and HAHAHAH dodging in Copellius's blender for the 3 star was not fun :)
Jean has no animal so thats clearly the wrong choice /j I did actually test Jean a bit in this team before this video and it didnt really feel better in my limited testing, but I definitely didnt try to test things like grouping Kiraras bombs. But at a baseline it may be better for team dmg particularly if you double swirl electro and hydro. But Baizhu buffs the bloom dmg, aggravate dmg, and spread dmg in the team a little at least, and more importantly also gives extra dendro particles to Kirara and enables quicken before Kirara is on field, which results in things like aggravates happening before seitching to Kirara. Basically in my playtesting it has just felt more comfortable than with Jean, and gets slightly more cat damage lol. But Jean is definitely not a bad option Oh, and I can relate to Hu Tao in 12-3 with my experience on Polearms Only. Took me many attempts to figure out how to deal with Coppelius with Tao

I got C6 kirara on this banner already had C5 before that she can do like 20k burst that's not nothing while build as shielder and her C4 is good for offield dendro application not the best but it's good enought and C6 just straight up 12% elemental dmg boost with up to 100% uptime
Slap Hunters Sets, Bennet, Dendro healer and Furina and she will slap. Using Kuki and Fav Yao Yao are nice but if you want big Chongky number, Bennet still the goat. I hit 60k in multiplayer when paired with good Bennet. Plus my CritDMG still under 200% so it can be higher if i get Mist Splitter.
Lol, still pretty silly in hindsight now that Im plagued with all the other DPS swords, and especially with the new BP sword. Good problem to have but hey its been fun to enable silly crit ratios on characters with MH
As a c2 Furina haver I think its soooo unfair that half of her cool teams are locked behind this constellation. Like my god dude I was using frikin proto Amber Mona on my Kuki hyperbloom team and it was working well to almost instantly get stacks. Her base kit should have had half of her c2 "stack per hp% change" so your not always like "ok but who is the strong aoe healer I will have to slot in now?", so annoying.
Yeah that is what makes Furinas C2 interesting to me on paper, but I will eventually test out how strong it is. Right now though I believe Furina is quite balanced at C0, and to most people I think they may notice C1 more than C2
Ty! Kirara can be useful just as a general shielder with some HP stats, and for ar22 unless you happen to have gotten a lucky Fischl or other off field electro, you probably wont be able to do that much special for DPS Kirara other than just physical damage from her Normal Attacks (the white numbers). Keep in mind that this video specifically focused on using Kirara with Furina to maximize her dmg. Main other early game tips I have (without overwhelming you too much hopefully lol) is to make sure to level up your weapon alongside your characters, most damage comes from character’s base attack in genshin, and more than a majority of base attack comes from the attack provided by the weapon itself. Other than that, artifacts are important to level early game too, just leveling the feather in particular can give a bunch of attack to your DPS units (unless they dont scale on attack, like Furinas dmg scaling on HP, which shows in the Attributes tab of a characters talent screen). Id not worry too much about the artifact set bonuses early on, instead focus on just getting the right main stats for artifacts. But 2pc berserkers for free crit rate can be nice, and instructors/exiles is nice too on some characters early on. Anything more specific than that kinda just depends on the character and how you are using them. Overall, dont stress much about artifacts until ar45 when you can farm 5 star pieces for your units, but even at that point the correct main stats on artifacts is the primary necessity. Aka dont put an HP timepiece on a character whose damage scales on attack just because it has crit substats on it. Oh, and dont underestimate the value of energy recharge, its the most important stat in the game for most characters. Timepieces are the only artifact that can gave it as the main stat, and having that on many characters can be the difference between them being useful or not, even early game. You may see a lot of videos of people getting excited about their artifacts having lucky crit rolls, but energy recharge is more important than crit. Because it makes sure you get your characters bursts back consistently, so if its a character that needs to use their burst for their kit to function (not all do, but more than a majority do) and you dont have enough energy to use a burst, you kinda dont deal dmg, which means the stats giving you higher dmg dont do anything when you arent dealing dmg at all in the first place. Yeah in this case I’d rather stay on field with the cat more. Yae’s burst is good, but not necessarily always worth increasing Yaes field time even more, depending on what is going on in the team. I probably should have mentioned it in the video, but it probably makes more sense to keep Kirara as more of a quickswap DPS in this team rather than keeping her on field in box form due to it probably being better to have Yae on field to be able to more freely use burst plus her NAs to trigger bloom cores, but then the MH artifacts make less sense on Kirara since she wouldnt be on fielding getting crit stacks, and it would potentially harder to time when to use her skill/burst in conjunction with Furinas dmg buff that builds up over time too. Oh and less dendro application could be relevant too. Its kinda just a weird case of slight subtleties in advantages/disadvantages to playing the same team differently.

Yeah, though because of her shield I dunno if she will take much self damage to enable MH artifacts without Furina, but on paper her being an on field dendro driver to keep burning going while the rest of the team does something is interesting. I may actually try out C6 Benny\Kirara\Kazuha\Hydro with Kirara on a gilded dreams build and potentially an attack goblet even (since she can do Pyro and Dendro damage in that team with c6 bennett it may be a good optin)
I’ve tried furina, Kirara, Benny, and Jean and it’s been fun. Basically it’s a burning/burgeon hybrid team so Jean has a ton of em ideally and Kirara has a bit. The sunfire plus Kirara pyro normal proc burgeon and the burning aura lets furinas pets vape.
If you just want to use her as a shielder she can be build mostly with HP on something like 4pc noblesse or deepwood (or whatever supportive set depending on the team). Sac sword is ideal for her to max out her shield absorption if you have it
Dehya does a couple things in that team. She firstly provides a little interruption resistance at the start of Neuvis attacks, and secondly creates a burning (pyro) aura on the enemies that is weak enough that it doesnt interfere much with Hyperbloom things, but still allows for occasional vapes on Neuvi, which I find fun. Its not the strongest variation of a Neuvi team in my experience, but its generally versatile and probably my favorite one for balance of fun and power. Realistically Kazuha would have made my life easier though lol
@@Solunerra oh yeah, interruption resistance is really comfy on Neuvi. I used to pair Neuvi with Xingqiu just for the interruption resistance lol (I was a Razor main so I never bothered building a shielder). I wonder if the vapes do more for Neuvi than something like Zhongli's Res Shred.
As a game I dont consider this a “dub.” Its an English localization. Maybe if characters actually had meaningful mouth animations it would have the same issues anime english dubs have, but they dont have to deal with problems of animation, so its not the same imo. Im someone who almost always prefers subtitles over dub for anime, too, but I prefer english for Genshin.

Kirara with Key + C6 could actually be a legitimately competitive option. It's no longer DPS Kirara, but makes her a comfortable onfield carry.

Her base kit should have had half of her c2 "stack per hp% change" so your not always like "ok but who is the strong aoe healer I will have to slot in now?", so annoying.
Yeah that is what makes Furinas C2 interesting to me on paper, but I will eventually test out how strong it is. Right now though I believe Furina is quite balanced at C0, and to most people I think they may notice C1 more than C2

Ty! Kirara can be useful just as a general shielder with some HP stats, and for ar22 unless you happen to have gotten a lucky Fischl or other off field electro, you probably wont be able to do that much special for DPS Kirara other than just physical damage from her Normal Attacks (the white numbers). Keep in mind that this video specifically focused on using Kirara with Furina to maximize her dmg.
Main other early game tips I have (without overwhelming you too much hopefully lol) is to make sure to level up your weapon alongside your characters, most damage comes from character’s base attack in genshin, and more than a majority of base attack comes from the attack provided by the weapon itself.
Other than that, artifacts are important to level early game too, just leveling the feather in particular can give a bunch of attack to your DPS units (unless they dont scale on attack, like Furinas dmg scaling on HP, which shows in the Attributes tab of a characters talent screen).
Id not worry too much about the artifact set bonuses early on, instead focus on just getting the right main stats for artifacts. But 2pc berserkers for free crit rate can be nice, and instructors/exiles is nice too on some characters early on. Anything more specific than that kinda just depends on the character and how you are using them.
Overall, dont stress much about artifacts until ar45 when you can farm 5 star pieces for your units, but even at that point the correct main stats on artifacts is the primary necessity. Aka dont put an HP timepiece on a character whose damage scales on attack just because it has crit substats on it.
Oh, and dont underestimate the value of energy recharge, its the most important stat in the game for most characters. Timepieces are the only artifact that can gave it as the main stat, and having that on many characters can be the difference between them being useful or not, even early game. You may see a lot of videos of people getting excited about their artifacts having lucky crit rolls, but energy recharge is more important than crit. Because it makes sure you get your characters bursts back consistently, so if its a character that needs to use their burst for their kit to function (not all do, but more than a majority do) and you dont have enough energy to use a burst, you kinda dont deal dmg, which means the stats giving you higher dmg dont do anything when you arent dealing dmg at all in the first place.

Yeah in this case I’d rather stay on field with the cat more. Yae’s burst is good, but not necessarily always worth increasing Yaes field time even more, depending on what is going on in the team.
I probably should have mentioned it in the video, but it probably makes more sense to keep Kirara as more of a quickswap DPS in this team rather than keeping her on field in box form due to it probably being better to have Yae on field to be able to more freely use burst plus her NAs to trigger bloom cores, but then the MH artifacts make less sense on Kirara since she wouldnt be on fielding getting crit stacks, and it would potentially harder to time when to use her skill/burst in conjunction with Furinas dmg buff that builds up over time too. Oh and less dendro application could be relevant too.
Its kinda just a weird case of slight subtleties in advantages/disadvantages to playing the same team differently.

Yeah, though because of her shield I dunno if she will take much self damage to enable MH artifacts without Furina, but on paper her being an on field dendro driver to keep burning going while the rest of the team does something is interesting. I may actually try out C6 Benny\Kirara\Kazuha\Hydro with Kirara on a gilded dreams build and potentially an attack goblet even (since she can do Pyro and Dendro damage in that team with c6 bennett it may be a good optin)
I’ve tried furina, Kirara, Benny, and Jean and it’s been fun. Basically it’s a burning/burgeon hybrid team so Jean has a ton of em ideally and Kirara has a bit. The sunfire plus Kirara pyro normal proc burgeon and the burning aura lets furinas pets vape.

If you just want to use her as a shielder she can be build mostly with HP on something like 4pc noblesse or deepwood (or whatever supportive set depending on the team). Sac sword is ideal for her to max out her shield absorption if you have it
Huh, I didn't think people would be playing a Dehya Hyperbloom team.
Dehya does a couple things in that team. She firstly provides a little interruption resistance at the start of Neuvis attacks, and secondly creates a burning (pyro) aura on the enemies that is weak enough that it doesnt interfere much with Hyperbloom things, but still allows for occasional vapes on Neuvi, which I find fun. Its not the strongest variation of a Neuvi team in my experience, but its generally versatile and probably my favorite one for balance of fun and power.
Realistically Kazuha would have made my life easier though lol

I used to pair Neuvi with Xingqiu just for the interruption resistance lol (I was a Razor main so I never bothered building a shielder).
I wonder if the vapes do more for Neuvi than something like Zhongli's Res Shred.

As a game I dont consider this a “dub.” Its an English localization. Maybe if characters actually had meaningful mouth animations it would have the same issues anime english dubs have, but they dont have to deal with problems of animation, so its not the same imo.
Im someone who almost always prefers subtitles over dub for anime, too, but I prefer english for Genshin.
