- I visited the @RMCRetro cave on Sunday the 2nd of June and met a host of brilliant people. Many of them handed over donations for the charity and a few for my channel. I left with a car full of wonderful stuff and here is a video of all the things I brought back.

We both need to thank @ReEnthused for sending the Atari to me while I was working on the Acid Atari videos and I am happy to pass them on. The 800xl does work so it's just the keyboard to fix and the 65XE keyboard works, but I split the membrane when making those keyboard adapter PCB.
That turned 64 pin 68K socket must be worth its weight in gold! I have been looking for one for a long time now and I haven't been able to find a decently priced one yet. Same with the 23 pin D-Sub connectors, all are priced for the die-hard Amiga enthusiasts who are eager to pay silly money for things that should actually be very cheap.
It was great to finally meet you at The Cave, Lee. An awesome day indeed. Looks like you're now pretty much buried under donations. Good luck getting through all that lot 😅
You're going to be a very busy man for the next couple of months! 😃 In all seriousness, it was a pleasure to meet you in person on Sunday and to be able to help in a small way. Can't wait to watch all the videos related to this charity auction!
Thanks for the shoutout. A great day and great too see sooooo much stuff donated. Dave aka TheDirtyPoppaDon.
Thank you Dave! I will definitely remember your name for next time 😉
What a fab batch of goodies you have there for the auction! Looking forward to it.
It's going to be fun!
" a space for people like us" watch out! You might get cancelled :D just kidding, great video as always
Mini PET? That would fit the Commodore PET gap and make an interesting build video
A good suggestion! I'll look into it
I used radial caps when I recapped my speccies, worried about shorting too, so on one board I put heat shrink tubes on the legs that were close to/above those traces that don’t have solder mask (all of them on speccies I think?)! Radials look nicer though, especially blue ones ;).
That Atari 65XE is a bit fishy without the chips.
Epic donations! At this rate you're going to need to get Nick Knowles involved in the charity project, to build you a warehouse.
You could cover the PET with a MiniPET. The 8-Bit Guy even had a video where he case mods a modern C64c case to fit a custom keyboard he and Kevin from TexElec made for it. - And I don't believe I have seen a Commodore 128 yet which was the machine I grew up with. That would have been nice to see. :) Still, this looks like it is going to be an excellent chairty auction. Well done!
There are some really good ideas floating around for the PET slot. I'll add yours to them!
And there is indeed a C128 😁
@@morefunmakingit2 Oh, I am glad to hear that about the C128. :) As for the PET, well, I will certainly be keeping an eye out for them here. :)
Best day EVER!!!!
Wasn't it? It never fails to blow me away every day I'm at the cave. Was even better being there with so many friends
5:16 You can make those '81s Commodore related by making some ZX1541 interfaces from this comment's sponsor; PCBWay!
Lee, I have a total of 3 Amiga 1200s. I'm pretty sure they've all be tweaked over the years but I'll have the original ROMs somewhere if that's what you need? Where would one of them need to get to?
Andrew! That would be amazing! My email address is lee at (my channel name) dot co dot UK. Alternatively my discord is linked in the description :D
