The Watergate scandal was absolutely nothing compared to what politicians do now.
Realize he was never implicated in plotting any burglary, he was only implicated in covering up who was involved in the burglary. This was all the rope they had to hang him with, that he just wanted the matter hushed up when that's par for the course these days.
These days "of course the White House doesn't want to know where this baggie of cocaine they found came from, yes, it's a cover up, so what? It's smart to cover these things up. What nobody knows about nobody can be mad about."
Exactly. Watergate is just a daily occurrence nowadays
@@cursorguycompared to some of the horrendous things modern day politicians have done, without people holding them accountable. The watergate scandal just looks like a minor thing in comparison.
AND the LIES of the MSM.
Totally agree
I'm amazed in how Nixon is much more mentally conscious and thoughtful of world matters than most of the Democrats and Republicans of today's day and age combined. Back in his day he may have been seen as far right but in today's day and age I see him as moderate and sane
Most Democrats and many Republicans are also thoughtful about these matters but you won’t see that platformed on commercial news. Fox would rather ask Republicans about Biden slipping on a ramp or his brother repaying him 40k in 2018 and pretending it’s somehow impeachable because his son is an idiot.
Nixon was an interesting case, especially early in his first term he had a bit of a liberal streak with things like the EPA and other environmental policies, creating OSHA, and a couple other things, but was fiscally conservative through and through and backtracked on some of his other previously socially liberal stances to appeal to southern voters, a lot of whom had voted for Wallace the last election (and given his 1972 results it seemed to have worked)
@@formerlyknownaseasrob it’s a sad state of affairs when protecting the environment is politicised.
So pox on both of their houses seems to be what you’re saying here! Well, I beg to differ! You obviously have misread history or forgotten it, because I remember President Obama, dispatching John Kerry to get control of what they characterized as loose, nukes, and that it was the Obama administration who wanted to denuclearize the planet, and not Richard Nixon, and so the fact that they weren’t able to accomplish this, does not mean that it is not worthy of note. Capeesh! Cheers.
Nixon was, maquiavelicuos, conning, treacherous, the devil in his guts was the finest chosen to put himself first as a reasonable man. Nixon was a lawyer first, then a politician.

... obama was that; and is arguably the architect of the disaster we have now.
He was a scumbag
I don't think articulate has anything to do with it anymore because today is such a different time than it was back then. But it would be nice. But it's not going to happen because this world needs somebody of action. We don't need pretty words or pretty structured sentences. We need you to say what you mean and me what you say. We need someone who can direct our country in the direction it needs to go by any means necessary cuz there's so much nastiness in government and politics and in the senate that we can ever go back to the time that it used to be and unfortunately that is a fact that is not my opinion because if you want my honest opinion we should destroy all of the government and rebuild it for the bottom up and put people in there that we actually all can agree. Should be there as a nation, not people that were voted in there by certain states or even cities. It should be a nationwide rebuilding on every level but that's my opinion but what I stayed in before that are the actual facts of what needs to be done and what kind of leader we need cuz we do live in different times now and those times are not going back to normal ever again because I would like for you to tell me whenever something happened to changed a faucet of life that it ever went back to normal. It never does. It's like saying that the economy is going to go back to where it was before and it never will be because now they know they can get more from the people. But what they will do is they will throw us a bone and give us something that we can relate to it going back to normal. But what is normal normal's whatever they want to make it and we accept
@@salboy1972 Articulate and mannerisms have much to do with it. Brilliant guy and a leader
He was- but the DRAMA from him losing to Kennedy in 1960 for president and Brown in 1962 for Governor of California left him a bitter man.
Nixon’s “Pink Paper” accusing Congresswoman Douglas of being soft on communism (when he ran against her for U.S. Senator in California) noted he used propaganda to his advantage, but many others have done the same of both parties. Nixon’s paranoia against the press and his enemies brought him to Watergate. He deserved to be impeached (and resigned prior to the Senate voting on it) but we can remember for the good he did. Outside the middle east North Korea is that small irresponsible country he speaks of. Former president Nixon hit the nail on the head or told it exactly as it is.
The tribes of the Middle East have been warring with each other for over three thousand years, since the middle Bronze Age, and they continue to do so today. Nixon’s assessment of the situation still applies today, because essentially the situation has not changed for over three thousand years.

Nixon was a crook.
No he was crooked POS who, along with Kissinger, committed war crimes. You people are delusional.
@@johnsmith1953xNixon was not a crook. Some of his loyal followers were. He returned their loyalty and went down in disgrace.
@@markhorton3994 Nixon was a crook and Trump is a traitor. Can I make it any clearer than that sweetie?
Nixon was far ahead of his time! RIP Mr Nixon we need your great mind more than ever 🇺🇸
Boy he hit the nail on the head with that one😮
People are starting to realize Nixon was the last good president, but they fail to ask who or why he was removed. The people that removed him still have power.
Absolute nonsense! I have to assume you're too young to have lived through him being president 🤷🏻♀️
@@okd521 I’ll admit I don’t know much on Nixon except hearing tid bits he may have fallen by powers that be. We all know Dems & Rinos r good at planting. After all the Falsehood of lies the system put Trump through I would not put past them if they lied about Nixon also.
That isn’t true. Both Republicans and Democrats were going to vote to remove him. Republicans and democrats voted to impeach him! Everyone knew he broke the law and they were more concerned about the constitution of the US than their parties. Nixon didn’t break anywhere close to the laws that Trump has been charged with. We have a congressional crises! There are no more statesmen or women who know what they are doing. They have become childish brats. Come to think of it, 70 million brats voted for Trump! Our leadership does reflect who we are. Biden is the last statesman standing. He even knows how many country’s are in the world! Wow!

Look at the people who were "removed". They were all anti-CIA. JFK, RFK, MLK, Agnew, Nixon, they tried Reagen (allowing the ex-CIA HW to rise to the throne).
After Reagen, there were appropriate globalist war-mongering puppets until Trump. Look what they have been doing to him. Yes, the fabricated dossier was a coup attempt.
Now, they have a demented puppet in Biden doing their bidding.
@@okd521I am not too young, as he was my pick the first time I voted. The charges against him seem petty considering the bribes and betrayals of our current ?president?
Imagine Brandon talking coherently like this! Totally impossible.
Biden is miles smarter than Trump.
Biden is smarter than you. Get over your jealousy. Trump is going to get crushed again.
Who is Brandon??
@@jennifercox5820 It's a name they use for Biden. It's a way to make fun of the president and America and its people. Don't pay attention to people that use that.
Once upon a time he did and he was using his brain power to spew racist shit 😂
Excellent assesment...Brilliant president
My mom a Democrat and also a Floridian loved Nixon she wrote him a letter thanking him for stopping the war in Vietnam
Best Foreign policy President.
A very credible position
After he turned the B 52's loose on Hanoi the NVA couldn't sue for peace quickly enough!
Johnson didn't have the balls!
What's really scary is that Nixon's comments are so relevant that they sound like he could have made them yesterday, and this was like an interview from around 1972 or so...
Policy good for yesterday is still good for today. Nixon is purely brilliant..
How long has this been the truth. So long. We have all been very dumb.
No one understood the complexities of foreign policy better than Nixon.
Bold claim, let’s see your proof
Possibly Kissinger. They were an All Star Team!!
#TRUTH.
