Nissan Micra windscreen wipers always ON ! "fix"

- My wipers were always ON, it looks like is all from the windscreen washer pump. I hope this helps someone . Cheers !
This fix might apply to other cars to, just try it , at least the pump on-off the car test.
PS: 10 days after I have done this is still ok, but there was not a lot of wet days to be honest, therefore I don't know if this will fix it permanently .

Thanks 😊 my 2004 micra started acting like this yesterday. It randomly started an randomly stopped. You have probably saved me a lot of hours, I was almost sure it was something with the relays. Thanks again 👍👍😀

My Nissan Micra 2003?'s wipers were stuck on except when I had indicators on. Fuse was fine. I took front bumper off (nightmare) and did what you did. Also I put vaseline in the socket where the electric plug went into the washer pump, and put silicone sealant round the crack on the outside of the pump and across that small slit you unplugged. Hope it all works. Thanks for the video
well to be honest , my fix didn't last long, I ended up buying a new pump of eBay 2 months later , I think when they go, they're gone, but same as yours, indicators on - wipers off...which made me think of some relay, I spent many hours inside the relays, which FYI are under the the dash, just lift the black long piece of plastic across the dash( and the 2 white pillar covers off ),just how you look over the steering wheel and there they are, but the issue was the pump the whole time !

do you have a tutorial / video or can you point us towards one where it shows us how to take the front bumper off to do this?
I have the problem with the rear wiper only it works on off but front work perfect any ideas
Update: the fix didn't fix it ! only temporary, I bought a new pump 2 months later off eBay, about 8 GBP, but this issue is definitely related to the pump itself, water ingress !

My micra front wipers comes on by themselves for about 20 sec and then off for a while whether the switch on or off or on full speed. Couldn’t find solution. Can anyone help please?

very informative video, my lil nissan startered being moody with wipers (same as video) after minus temperatures for a few days , I suppose fluid froze and messed up pump , gonna try your fix tmrw ,how long to remove bumper and get to pump ?
Sorry for replying so late, I didn't remove, I access the pump through the fog lights , because mine are missing
@@Gaby83 thanks, I didn't get to it yet anyway, but will remove part of the wheel guard and will get from there
You could just turn the weel to the left and remove the shield instead of removing the bumper
I have the opposite problem the wiper are dead in the water
