The Moroney recording appears to be out of print. I see Olivier Baumont also did a complete recording, but that also looks out of print.

Is it just me or is this a spicy (not well-tempered) tuning on that harpsichord?

They say ยปtemperament ordinaire ยป. I guess it is a slightly softened mean tone tuning. It is indeed noticeable in the F Sharp Pavan at the end of the recording.

There is something in the harmonies that is just less pleasing than Franรงoisโ€™ music. Heโ€™s a little more ramble than his nephew (?) perhaps?

I'm gonna keep it a buck fifty----some of these melodies sound like straight out improv. Muthfuckas recorded some random jag playing the harpsichord and recorded that shit. Sounds great though.

J'aime bien la musique pour clavecin de Louis Couperin. Mais ici, je n'aime pas la sonoritรฉ du clavecin que je trouve moderne. Je prรฉfรจre entendre jouer ces piรจces sur un clavecin ancien.

Probably referring to Francois Couperin. And yes, FC's suites (which are more like collections than unified wholes) alternate between profound pieces and trifles.
