As a fellow Small Business Owner on Cape Cod (different line of work) I find it frustrating with the over saturated amount of companies I compete with that are under bidding us by a significant margin do to the use of lower cost of labor because of possible illegal immigrants I’m interested to see if any immigration reforms that result in less work force if we’ll be able to get back to “normal “ Because as you put it about the factory scenario I do feel like I lost my job to someone who is here illegally and taking my jobs
Thanks for the great cleaning videos

I’m glad to hear your phone is ringing off the hook. Legal or not, good help is hard to find. Keep up the great work 🇺🇸

It's not off the hook THIS time of year... so it was odd to get calls about possible big-volume referrals.
      Hope you're well.

This gave me flashbacks to 2020, we needed doctors and nurses, and I know many who disagreed with the projected solution. (I'm avoiding hot terminology here) They were still willing to do their job. But they were threatened, kicked out, and ridiculed. No or less doctors seemed a better option with the growing pandemic. Seems like you said, healthcare is another broken issue, that has in someway benefited both political parties. Vital jobs that aren't filled because of a purge.

Hard to find laborers here in VT that want to do this work. I’m busy here but would move to Cape Cod to take on more work especially if the market is better.

And that's the catch: if I didn't already live here, there's 0% that I could afford to move here... even now that I have a well-established business. Between the soaring home prices and the increased interest rates, I couldn't afford the tiny little house now in 2025 that I bought back in 2010... and I definitely couldn't afford to rent an apartment. It's a wicked cycle and I understand why I see cleaners from Rhode Island and New Hampshire... but then I'm the one the homeowner calls to fix a problem when the guy from off-Cape won't make a 6-8 hours round trip to come fix a spot on the roof that they missed.
      Thanks for watching.

@ same deal here. Getting calls all the time because the home owner hired a weekend warrior or someone who moved away because they can’t afford to live here anymore.

A big topic for a small comment area. #1 Americans get jobs first in America then legal immigrants.I have legal immigrants in my extended family and they are pissed about illegals getting benefits. #2 Illegals are taking more than they return in all forms of capital. #3 We're getting squeezed in different ways by both political parties. #4 We do need immigration. I haven't talked to anyone who is apposed to legal immigration.

No comment. We are so over saturated that we can’t get out of our driveway to get to work. 10 minute drive have become a 4 hour drive. Forget about 15 minute city’s, looks like it’s going to be a 1 minute city. 😆😳

      Oversaturated with immigrants?
      I don't know the term "15-minute city."
I'm curious to hear about the immigration situation down under, especially as it relates to job openings and the economy.

      @
Well my friend, For some reason we are owned by America and under the stock exchange on Wall Street. We were sold to the highest bidder which is currently bill gates and his ku. We have plenty of land and resources but Mr gates wants it all to him self and that’s why everything is being squeezed in one area. India and China are overpopulated and sort help from Mr. Gates to reduce the population. Before Mr gates, White man came and made this land into a prison, but it’s a prison that I love. Mr gates and his Ku Klux Klan turned it into his personal experimental lab. In regards to 15 minute city’s, Do the math. How would you contain freedom and be a god. 😟 but life goes on and hope that people wake up to the ku that are running the show.

It's a rough concept and not one that can easily be understood. Why is it difficult to understand? Missing information and mis-information. We don't know what lies beneath the surface.

So many angles. As I understand it, though, the current system or path to legal immigration into the U.S. is basically an outdated and underfunded tangle of bureaucracies. I've can't believe that this is the best America can do.
