I already bought your sillouettte hardware....why is this plugin for third party software not a free download? It’s not like we can use it without purchasing your hardware.

This plug in is not working at all, does not show up in illustrator
After looking into buying one of these cutters it's sad to see that you need to pay for a license to use a connection plugin to coreldraw or illustrator, imagine buying a printer and having to do the same! This should be part of the purchase not a roadblock.
@@CreateWithSilhouette You're welcome. The Roland Stika range includes a plugin for free for example, just something less I have to add to the Cameo's price as it inches towards me going for the Stika or similar.

I am not able to get Silhouette Connect to show in the file menu of Adobe Illustrator. Just updated Illustrator to current version but still no luck. Any idea how I can troubleshoot?
Silhouette is extremely slow to send out updates on the connect software. I install/use the beta software since it's the most stable. At the time of this post, only Illustrator 2020 works with Silhouette connect and doesn't work with 2021 and that's even including the beta software.

@@rodaskb Glad, I was able to help! I've been documenting my entire process to get everything set up and working with Silhouette connect for creating kiss-cut stickers in Illustrator. It's just been problem after problem with the Silhouette software.
One issue that I'm facing is that on the bottom left corner (the side without the registration mark) the cuts are all offset by quite a bit. The cuts are perfect everywhere else but that one corner.

@@amitarora20, Which button are you referring to? I'm assuming the "Silhouette Connect" dialog box inside Adobe Illustrator/Corel Draw. The video link you sent me was for a Corel project, which I've never worked with before. The video you sent also has the person creating their design in Corel Draw, then importing it to Silhouette Studio, instead of using the separate Silhouette Connect plugin, which this video highlights, and I would recommend using if you're working in Illustrator/Corel.
If you need Illustrator 2021 support, they just released a beta release v1.6.040 on the Silhouette website www.silhouetteamerica.com/software#silhouette-connect, which I was able to verify it is working on macOS.
Registration mark differ from coreldraw and silhouette connet software?
Just updated to Adobe Illustrator 2024, reinstalled Silhouette Connect, but not seeing the option in Illustrator.

Someone please help! Out of no where something has went wrong with either Adobe illustrator or silhouette connect. I reflect my image in Adobe illustrator because Im cutting vinyl. Then I press send to silhouette connect. When the image opens in silhouette connect its no longer reflected. Why? Please help. This was not happening before. Im not sure whats wrong.

the only reason I'm considering getting this is because every time I try to print directly on cameo, the preview of the image is distorted and I'd need to print on illustrator or somewhere else. Anyone with the same problem ?
YES that's exactly why I got this plug in, still trying to figure it out. Lol
Try printing from version 4.3, thats been working for me without the distorted lines

The plugin aint showing up in Corel Draw

After installing the plugin and entering the license key, the plugin does not appear in illustrator. why is it? what can I do? I have the latest version of illustrator cc and also CS6. both show no plugin.

My illustrator crash every time I click on 'Send to Silhouette connect' or 'Silhouette Registration Mark'
For the "send to silhouette connect" option, make sure to disable all the artwork layers, and only make your cut lines visible. For the "Silhouette Registration Mark" not working, looks like you're having an issue with the Silhouette Connect software itself. Try installing the beta software and see if that fixes the issue. Even the beta release is outdated and doesn't work with Illustrator 2021.

Does it work on Photoshop too?
No, this plugin only works with Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw. The machine needs vector paths to do the cutting, which Photoshop is mainly raster-based.
Hi my auto blade doesn't show in the plug in???

When I send to Silhouette connect, I get a blank page. This just started happening recently. What could be the problem?
I'd recommend installing the beta software. I was using the stable release and couldn't get the machine to connect to the computer via Bluetooth or USB. Also, hold off on updating Illustrator to CC 2021, the Silhouette software isn't compatible with it.
