I have to say that I started following you years ago for your watercolouring and teaching style (sorry not because of the store and I am sure there are many others like me here). That being said, I think you should keep your name just as is especially given your explaination re your last name shared in the video. It is you and I have never not known that your first name is Dawn. Looking forward to many more years of your fabulous creations and wonderful teaching. Hi, love your products and you are a fab teacher, so look forward to seeing more content from you. Good for you, for put yourself into a place that makes you happy, more of us should do,that. As for the Wplus9 part, do what feels right for you, but as you said, no one knows what the future holds and it might come in handy again in the future. It has become a powerful name in the industry, which will not quickly be forgotten, so I would keep it as part of your next steps (as it is a big part of you anyway) and not throw ‘the baby out with the bath water’. Oh! I am sooooo disappointed that you have closed your shop!!! I have only just found your RUclips videos and became quite excited when I discovered that you had a shop and that you were a watercolourist and illustrator. I love watercolour - but haven’t done very much - especially botanical florals and illustration. I also do some card making. When I saw some of your floral stamps I became very excited!!!!
I hope your family issues are more settled now, and I look forward to seeing your ongoing videos. Please, let us know if stamps from your illustrations can be found through another stamp company.

Creative people almost always have to have an agent --- business is antithetical, in some people's minds, to creation.
It's really not, looked at differently. But, it does require some extroversion. I, personally, choose not to have a lot of that.

But then again, if at some time you decide to go back that direction (with more delegation of duties) it's in place and ready to go. I can't believe you're leaving the business industry. What's NOT to love about taxes (lol)!!! I'm so sorry! I can't even being to imagine the tax nightmare you must face as a small business. Congrats to you for your business opportunity and your chance to move on to bigger and better things! I'm confident you will be great and you'll find peace within. The card today is just breathtaking. I've learned from past videos I need to be patient (hard for me) while you color "white"!!! It's so hard to understand how those colors you used really do make the flowers look white but you've shown it to be true!!! I'll look forward to future videos! Peace!

Keeping a business is not for everybody and it's not unusual for business owners to never get to do what they love anymore because the successful business is keeping them super busy. Your coloring is outstanding… you hit the nail on the head with that hydrangea. I have never seen a flower look so real by just coloring it. I’m just in aww! ❤
I’m sorry to see you are closing your store, but I totally understand your motives. I just recently found you after watching Kelly Taylor‘s videos. I know you two are BFFs, so I had to check you out. Needless to say, I am blown away! I hated Copic markers when they first came out because all they had was the chisel tip. I said that I would stick with my Tombow watercolors, thank you very much! Also, Tombows were less expensive and more accessible. I have every single color they make that I got at 40% off from Michaels! L O L! Well, then I began to watch Kelly’s videos and also Nichol Sphore, and I ran out and bought some markers and began to experiment. Low and behold, the blending works so well with the ‘new’ brush tip markers. I ran out and got more! Anyway, watching you color these hydrangeas, which is one of my favorite flowers other than pansies, I was blown away. Kelly does very intense color and this is the first time I have ever seen pale colors used in such a manner that the flower actually looks real! I am looking forward to the changes in your life especially when you do more teaching videos! I want to learn how to use my light colored Copic markers better! Bon voyage!❤
I'm so glad that you found me! Yes, I tend to lean more towards soft muted colors and Kelly is a bright girl, so between us you can pick up different tips. Oh, and I watercolor is my love language so you'll find a lot of that here too! 💕

Can you just become W+9 Design Studio. You can market illustrations, workshops, etc. under that title. Keep it as a tax ID. Add a tag line Design Studio - designs by Dawn W... What does your accountant advise?
I only discovered you recently. I have been stamping over 25 years and still feel like I learn a lot from your approach, suggestions, short cuts, techniques. Plus your videos are professional. You don't fly by the seat of your pants. You're organized. I really like voice-overs and editing. You are respectful of your audience's time.
Just wow, on the flowers. I think you should use the name that makes you happy.
