    HUGE golden bombs dropped in this episode. Thanks again Beasty, it almost feels like a personal AOE 4 Coaching session watching these walkthroughs.
    It's crazy how much difference small economy raids can make to throw off the enemy concentration / Villager count to re-gain advantage 👑

  • @diggoran

    One important thing I learned was even before where you paused and started explaining: when your villagers got pushed off resources, you dumped them all onto wood. The massive amount of wood you gathered enabled you to rebuild before your opponent even left your base. That’s how you had all those farms to fall back on when you were isolated from your food sources.

    Beasty my man. I watched this video last night. Then today was playing one of my placement games for ranked. Playing as abassid against French. He pushed hard, took out my second TC, killed a bunch of vils, wiped out my entire army, burned down a bunch of my houses/production, and was dancing around my main TC/house of wisdom. Was able to push him off and just started running knight harass into his base from all different angles. Eventually managed to come back for a win that yesterday I would have 100% tapped out on. Your a freaking wizard

    this video was so, so great. seeing you just gigamind your opponents is one thing, but seeing you have to fight back from a godawful situation (although, granted, there was some gigaminding here as well, with the random keep-in-the-face on the top-right) is even more helpful / has so much to learn from. thanks for doing this series!!

    If anyone has a particular topic that you like to see, please let me know. I watch basically every twitch stream and suggested this game since it has a good hold and comeback, which I felt would be interesting for anyone struggling to hold attacks. So let me know what you like, and I'll try to keep an eye out for games that cover those topics.
    Of course, if you want to join us on twitch and meme, so much the better. Today is the start of the first ranked ladder season and next tournament game is Golden League this Saturday 5 PM CET vs none other than MarineLord. POGGERS

    I miss the SC2 content. Not the fact that it's SC2, but beasty goofed around doing dumb shit in between try hard games, like all those X to GM series. That makes the videos more enjoyable than "just" being a top pro.
    Right now the game's still new and beasty is inventing new metas so it's still pretty fun to watch, but once it settles down I really hope beasty start goofing around again a bit more.

    TotalBiscuit always used to harp on the "win condition." You should be formulating "how do I win this," and that doesn't apply to comebacks only. This game is a perfect example of why he was right. You figured out your win condition (siege) and you executed it. It also goes both ways, you can have the best build order, the best eco, the largest army supply, but if you don't have a plan to win then you can *easily* lose.
    Loving these videos.

    physiological attack, opponent is taking heavy emotional damage.
    And the transition from 'oh yes i won he probably just surrender' into 'what the fuck why isn't him surrender, what should i do'
    The hardest opponent to deal with, is those that doesn't give up even at the worst situation.

    I play a lot of team games, and I understand that the whole taking their attention away from the enemy and attacking from multiple areas is what makes you win / help you win. Now what would you do if the enemy had STONE walls everywhere and you couldn’t do something like throw 11 villagers to build a keep that close to his resources ?

    • @cascade_fury
      @cascade_fury 2 года назад

      There's a video about how to defend mongol towerrushes, similar tactics apply to other civs as well. ruclips.net/video/OsRMcILdgKo/видео.html
      I don't think rushing a keep to the opponent base happens at the high elo level. The opponent would have to be able to go Fast Castle uncontested, walk a ton of vils across the map to build that keep. Both are susceptible to extreme harassments given how easy it is to scout. There is no transition if the keep doesn't go up. They would've lost a ton of stone, mining time from the vils, and of course losing the vils themselves. That puts the opponent so severely behind, it's basically gg.
