I'm 38. It all started when I was 12 and I came across Saturday anime on the SyFy network when only geeks and dads would watch the channel. Bowl of cereal in hand I would sit in front of the tv from 9am to 1pm watching two back to back full length OAVs and it was magical. My mind couldn't comprehend this new style of animation that seemed to rival or surpass Disney's animation. This is important because the Disney channel was a pay channel and you could only see the best animation in the west, in theaters or VHS.... CONTINUED BELOW
Anime is wonderful, isn't it? U.S.entertainment companies and animation studios are emulating it and it's wonderful! A virtuous cycle. Animation began in the West, advanced in the East, and in return influenced the West.
During the early era of Netflix, I got to watch hidden gems too! Ofcourse I had to mark down which episodes I finished because my cousins would want to watch what I picked out 😂 Amazing time
Shout out to the ogs who know where this sample originally came from. To all you sad boys and sad girls: there's no reason to cry about the song... It's about love.
I didn’t quite understand how broad anime was yet and didn’t get that DBZ, sailor moon and Ronin Warriors were also anime. It didn’t matter though because I was hooked and Saturday Anime offered more adult content. I scoured the land for video tapes and couldn’t find any until I found a Vietnemese video rental store in Atlantic City with a wall full of VHS. It was glorious. Then little by little Best Buy had 2 or 3 tapes but only because one of them was sponsored by Sony “street fighter 2” the movie. Also mindblowin! The rest is history. Little by little over the course of 10 years more and more stores and kids were finding out about “Anime” and Manga and now even 13 year old white girls are into it and all I can think is….cool.
I play the original song here on youtube and go to the settings on the screen below on the top right where the there dots are and play the song speed at 1.25. It is like that but different.

@@karayclipsmusicaanglosubti739 If you're talking about this song ("Paris" by RITCHRD), they're saying "I'll give" and "I'll give you everything and more". If you're talking about the sample ("Ready or Not" by After 7), you can get all the lyrics by looking up "After 7 - Ready or Not (lyrics)" in the search bar. I hope this helps! 👍🏾
If you haven’t I strongly recommend you watch Outlaw Star. It’s only about 26 episodes but each one is great! The characters couldn’t be written any better. It’s everything good about sci Fi and anime.

@@DanielG03 No problem. The future funk genre is also related to vaporwave, both of which often sample city pop, if you’re interested in more of this general kind of music.
you know its a banger when theres an extended version
