Is bone shade worth anything? I found a one off perfect one last night and threw it away lol. I never seen bone necros, I was on my necro too. I’m running a support/corpse explosion build
To those with PnB necros, it's definitely worth something, but like you said, I haven't personally seen anyone request the weapon outside of looking for a +1 corrupted one. I think the other nec builds have been more popular for their damage and survivability.

I know! I kept wishing I flipped the corruptions..haha. Apparently it's an amazing shapeshift weapon if it rolls IAS.

Hahaha..you made me google it. Google says the American pronunciation is "sha kow." I admit I used to say melee as "mee lee" for a number of years.

Why UP the gaze when it loses defense? I never played PD2 so im assuming its because you get better slam stats?
The cause of the reduced defense has to do with the defense range of grim helms and bone visages overlapping, so a low defense bone visage (100-175) can roll below a high defense grim helm (60-125). You're right on the corruption..bone visages have the potential to get 3 sockets instead of the max 2 sockets on grim helms.

@@rl2rem Nice! I started in around 7th/8th grade. Played a bit on uswest with patch 1.08, quit, then came to useast for 1.09-1.12, then quit. Play some on the d2pk server, then made a sorc a year or so ago for fun on b.net. PD2 has been really great. The new season starts March 12.
Why do you puzzle before currupt? You're turning the 25% chance to socket into an additional 25% brick chance, now being 50%....
Unless the logic is shoot for 1-2 more sockets with WSS
The main goal was to prevent my corruption going towards sockets. Puzzleboxing before prevents a socket corrupt. Also, since the max number of sockets on bows is 4 and the max number of sockets with puzzlebox with weapons is 4, it works out to get that part out of the way without the risk of losing sockets, such as with weapons that can corrupt 6 sockets.
@@cwickwitted That would be cool if additional sockets could be added with the corrupt, but once an item has sockets, whether it rolled with sockets to begin with or puzzleboxed, the corrupt can't add more.
When you upped that vamp gaze the defense actually went down. I get your upping for sockets but felt that was very strange and didnt really make sense.
A grim helm's defense range is 60-125 and ed is calculated with the base defense +1 (126) x 100% ed in this case, so 252 defense. A bone visage's defense range is 100-157, so there's some overlap for the potential to have less defense since the bone visage defense is randomly determined when upping. The key with upping is to have the potential to get 3 sockets with the corruption since bone visage can get 3, but grim helm can only get 2.

LOL! Apparently fourth times the charm. I just had to slam 300 items first to finally get sockets to work in my favor and ed on melee weapons instead of sorc orbs.

Well the odds of getting 4 sock out of 4 possibilities are 1/4 = 25% . Quick maths.
The roll possibilities for a puzzlebox on 2-handed weapons are 2, 3, or 4 sockets (33.33%)

I think they should remove socket from slams
It can definitely be frustrating, but I suppose it's all part of weighing the pros and cons. For example, choosing to use puzzleboxes first can help prevent the single socket corrupts, but it could also mean wasting a puzzlebox if the item bricks after corrupting. I don't mind the current system too much.
Where is the luck? I only see mediocre items and roles to be honest. Insane luck would be slamming a +1 skill and then puzzle boxing for 2 sockets on a GG Death Phantoms or shako. I am happy you are happy with these, but the title is pure click-bait ;)
The like ratio implies viewers relate to the significance. I uploaded a 36-item, 65-item, 72-item, and now 60-item vid and this is the first time I got 3 sockets on a helm and cannot be frozen on something useful. Also, prior to this video I had puzzleboxed 5 items and only one got more than 1 socket, so getting four sockets on both weapons feels lucky for me. Outside of the videos I've uploaded I haven't gotten any better slams.
Currently I have a 95 sorc and 80 barb, which represent how much time I'm able to play the game, so people who play more and/or are more wealthy might have bigger-ticket items with better rolls, but relative to me and those liking the video, the title is genuine.

What aspects of the server do you dislike? The only major complaints I've heard about it are not being able to have multiple accounts on one IP and not being able to trade via jsp. I personally love the non-static attribute changes, corruptions, puzzleboxes, maps, etc.
My main complaint is with the changes made to PvP, life, defense, etc. I look forward to PvP on D2R. Will be interesting to play without all the staple perm/08/hacked items, etc. Thanks for watching, m8!
