Nobody can know who gold belongs to once it’s been melted into gold bars. It would be just wrong to hand it to just any family who had something taken during ww2. They may have had 500 dollars worth stolen and receive hundreds of thousands? The finders of such treasure should get a good lot of it, after all it is them who believe in it and research it and hunt for it.
