Dude! Your gonna make me buy a KLR! My sixth one! Thought I was done with KLR's but they keep pulling on my strings. Had many a good rides on KLR's. Currently on a Super Tenere. Looking for that in the middle bike. Got my dirt bikes. Thanks for your reviews.
@@markcollins5026 me too. Just got my adventure KLR. It is a hoot to ride. Love it. Gonna put the ABS bypass switch in for when I take it on the Knarly back trails.
OH I like that...I gott'a get me a new KLR ! my question is....is there a way to disable ONLY the rear wheel and leave the front with ABS ???? that would definitely be the ticket ! ..... thanks for the video !
In the process of trying to buy one right now!!! Chose the Adventure ABS model, might as well go all out if I am buying a new one. First new KLR ever after owning two 1st-gen models. They seriously appealed to the KLR-market with this new one. Sure it still has some of the old bugs, fuck it. Ride it stock until the warranty is gone and then upgrade the thermobob an the doohickey. EZ PZ
Thanks for this video Curtis, fyi great video available on adding an abs isolation switch if you haven’t found it. Let me know and I’ll try share it. Cheers Norm
Great reviews, have never had a KLR, have had a couple BMW GS, but something about the KLR has always called my attention, several great bikes around but I just see this is a no BS bike. New one really looks good. I saw your off road video and this ABS video which is pretty good. Now what about on road, how does it feel, I know its not a bullet but it would be nice to see a video on that. Dont know if it will come soon or ever to Colombia. So meanwhile ill check out your reviews. Nice work.
I have a 22 klr adv with abs , how do you think it would go on steep down hill , especially if it starts to pick up speed and the abs keeps letting off ? That's the only thing I'm concerned about , otherwise abs is all good , have you tried this situation ? Cheers
Neat. Like the other non fancy bikes with abs from kawi. Could probably wire in a switch. Canadian models Khaki with or without ABS Orange with ABS ADV with or without ABS
I'm leaning towards the Orange, so these little tricks may come in handy. Enjoy dude. I'm on my 2nd one. I'm hearing the 3td gen gets 300miles to a tank now.
@@onthebackwheel I've yet to commute on my bike so I may/may not be in the market for one of your screen adjusters (I'll find out in December)... but if you were to come up with a kit of better hardware and fixings- I'd buy it today.
@@onthebackwheel I found a minor issue you might want to share; the little 5mm alum screws that hold the faring on keep backing out... don't use thread locker !! The screws only secure into rubber grommets, the thread locker sticks them in and when you need to remove them- the whole lot just rotates. Grrr.
I am very impressed by the ABS, thank you for showing this all. Solidified my decision to get the ABS model.
Glad I could help
Thanks for being a gen 3 pioneer. I was a little sus of my ECU throwing codes, good to see its safe to pull the fuses
See mod video listed. A great addition
Great Video ! I was waiting for the ABS/NON-ABS Comparison.Well done 👍.
loving this klr series.. making me feel better about abs.. i personally dont want it..but every klr around me has it..
I wouldn't miss it, but it isn't a bad thing

Excellent display of skill on the klr650 2022. Given me the most faith in the adventure model I'm currently buying. Thanks from an "L" plater to be.
Impressive braking for sure , looks like all round decent bike
Enjoying your content Curtis. Would you consider doing a long distance touring appraisal. Thanks.
Thank you. Yes, definitely. I just need to find the time atm (got a new born). I want to do some overnight camping trips on her
This is a great series on the KLR! I think I've caught up now.

Not in an easy way. You could just disconnect the rear ABS somehow, other than that it would be serious electronic/computer tinkering
Good video, answered my questions about the Abs, putting a bypass switch should be dead simple!

Exactly. she's got warranty, ride the piss out of it! I would have gotten the adventure if they came in tan, it's a cracking deal
Would like to buy this bike
Enjoy your weekend buddy!
You too mate!

Cheers mate, that'd be good
@@onthebackwheel see link below for ABS isolation Mod
Excellent demo!
Theres a tool kit in the rear storage.
Yes there is 👍
Great video 👍🏻
Thanks mate
Great video!
Any chance you would know if pulling only one fuse would disable the rear but keep the front ABS on?
Cheers. No, from what I can see it is only both
@@onthebackwheel Gotcha 👍
@@onthebackwheelso the abs can be disabled, if so that would make me get the abs model to have the choice of both options. Thanks

Poor man's GS 😆 Thanks for the video+tests. KLR is a one of a kind.
Great video! What boots are you wearing?
Thanks. Oneal Sierra adventure boots

I did many times. A good off road front tyre basically eliminates that
I bought an adventure model non abs how hard and expensive would it be to add abs.
Very. Not worth it imo
good job ty
"Lets try these leafs over here, might have a fucking hernia with this!!"
LOL
I went from a ninja 300 no abs to a klr with abs world of a difference the klr stops way better and slows you down much quicker
Interesting to hear
Neat. Like the other non fancy bikes with abs from kawi. Could probably wire in a switch.
Canadian models
Khaki with or without ABS
Orange with ABS
ADV with or without ABS

Those seat bolts are a fiddly PITA eh?
Can't stand them! Lost one too which is a pain

Basically. you still can't lock the front up on dry asphalt.
😂
Stupid I can't get one here... Want a KLR!
Huge Huge mistake not making these motorcycle with a shut off and on ABS system...
Not huge, but wish they did
I’d prefer an extra gear
You have the non ABS model.silly😂😂😂
When I take the fuse out it is...
