Taka wrote this song for his Dad, they had a complicated relationship when he was a teen and he ran away from home, now they have a very good relationship and his dad is very supportive and attends their concert whenever they are in Japan.
@@nshippudennaruto2814taka chose to leave as they wouldn’t accept that he wanted to make a living as a singer and went to live with his grandmother . They talk about it in ‘flip a coin ‘ and you understand both sides when you hear them . Taka dropped out of school to follow his dream and worked kitchens to support himself
Before writing this song he wrote "Nobody's Home" as an apology to his parents for everything he did that resulted in him running away from home. When he first performed it live, which was at Yokohama arena 2012, his parents were actually at the concert and it's easily the most emotional performance Taka has given. It's something every OOR fan should see.
@@mihokosymons5188 certainly. There is a video out there with the lyrics as well but the quality isn't good, and you want the best quality so you can see Taka's expression. I wish people would request more songs from this show and the following years show. Let me know what you think. ruclips.net/video/_vSTZJTbkig/видео.htmlsi=yDTMWPzgBEnQaNMg
I was incredibly lucky to see them perform this live in 2016 when they came to the US to tour with 5 seconds from summer. I'll certainly remember it forever seeing that i really doubt that they'll ever play it live again.
You said "I'm learning this song" and frankly, I'd love to hear that. This song is a harsh one for me. I lost my dad a couple years ago to COVID Pneumonia and we had a pretty tough relationship for most of my life until about a couple of years before he passed away. Wondering if I'd ever made him proud enough and hearing Taka sing those lyrics is heartbreaking every time for me. Love that you reacted to this.
Your raw emotion and reaction to this song is so moving. Thank you for sharing this one. This is one of my favorite songs on this album. It is so beautiful. 🥰
before knowing Hard to Love, I watched some interviews and documentaries where Taka tells his past. When i was listening to Hard to Love for the first time with lyrics, i broke into tears, i cried so hard cause i imagined his feelings when he get through all that hard times at young age, and it has similarities with my conditions as well😭 After that, i just knew that he actually made so many songs about his family, his friends, and his past. He tells us his feelings through beautiful songs he made😭❤️
Saw this live in Toronto 2017 for their Ambitions North America tour, put me to tears. Super excited for you that you are seeing them with My First Story in Tokyo in Novemeber. Tried to get tickets through many lotteries but failed every time...AND I LIVE IN JAPAN. That said, filling the void by signing up to your Patreon and marathonign all of your One Ok Rock live reactions! 😁
This is a beautiful song, but as someone with symilar story to Taka, I find it a little heartbreaking he think he is or was hard to love. 💔 But yeah, I really feel personal about this. Anyway, there is no oficial recording, but there is a good fan cam from Germany, with a few words from Taka as well. I’ll put a link below, if you wanna check it out
Just watched OOR Luxury Disease tour Manila 4 days ago , as always the best set , they played Clock Strikes & Kanzen Kankun Dreamer I'm excited for your live experience, you will love them more
They actually have a whole blu ray/DVD for all concerts, you probably can find them in DVD stores or secondhand stores (i.e Book Off) in Japan. Also, ONE OK ROCK is actually having a concert in Tokyo Dome together with his brother on Nov 14 if I’m not mistaken.
Wow! So happy for you..I want to see them in Japan too ~ that's my dream concert! I just saw them last wk and it was super duper amazing! I'm so proud of them. Taka's vocals = ❤❤❤❤❤
Against the current ft taka live home version . ‘Dreaming alone ‘ the vocals are insane . I’d reccomens reacting to both the MV then the studio version as as the studio version is shorter but vocally insane

Good to know. I was wondering if it was about his mom, also a legendary Japanese singer.

First time i heard this song when my son sang this for me on my birthday. Love Taka’s emotions in every song he wrote.

I played this for my mom about a month ago and she broke down in tears
I always dedicate this song to my late Dad, he "loved me even when I was hard to love..." he never failed me.🥺🤗💓

This song is written for his Dad. I only found a fancam in one of the EU tour.
this song is so beautiful
Always puts a tear in my eyes thinking of me and my dad, and also thinking of who I want to be for my son.
This! For real same here

So emotional ❤... complicated feelings with your family... but love at the end. I put this song in my car in the evening when I'm back to home
