I shorted my makita charger at the 18v battery charger electrodes will it be same thing a broken fuse? I get alternating red green lights with the charger plugged in and the battery in it now!
Friend - Congratulations on the video - My MAKITA DC18RA charger burst components and I don't know the code to buy - They are the IC PWM with 4 pins on one side and 3 pins on the other position IC-1 - And the other one is likely a transistor in position IC -4 which is close to the (smaller) TR2 transformer -IT WILL BE VERY HELPFUL TO KNOW THE CODES OF THESE TWO COMPONENTS SO THAT I CAN REPAIR THE CHARGER - Thank you for your attention - Thank you
@@drQ11235 Looks like big capacitor is bulging and very probably FET on heatsink is shorted/blown. Might get lucky replacing them but most likely other parts are toast aswell.
You show the repair of a Makita DC18SD charger , and the test of a different charger DC18RC .
P.S. its never the fuse .....
Yes looks like a fake video. If a fuse burns, there is a reason for it..
it appears from the sky that the large electrolytic capacitor is swollen and needs to be replaced
I'm working on one right now and all of the fuses are good there's power in but nothing out
check the fuse like shown here. are any capacitors popped on the end? any burn marks or burn smells on transformers? no? get another one.

Can you please tell me the value for R8 and R7 Thanks
What is the problem if the red and yellow light flashing both alternate ,what ths problem even i try it to another same charger but it work
Que valor tiene esa resistencia ???? Plis ???
That's fake when these chargers shutdown its more than a fuse problem

Please send components to me I Need check first
Did not work...fuse keeps on blowing after plugin in the charger
Yes it did because l don’t have new fuse so l do like this.
I might have a look for any blown capacitors, maybe ones which conduct (they shouldn't), probably the next most likely thing to break
