He used auto tune not bc he needed it, but to make himself sound different from everyone else
I learned he could really sing from his performances on Masked Singer
I always knew he could sing cuz i saw him on an interview that played his real voice. It wasn't straight auto tune it was the synthesizer voice enhancement that he used then everybody else started using it but only after slamming him for it. This world of followers jumped on the ban wagon once he made it popular again. Tedddy Ryley Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam all used it and we jammed to it. He just brought it back.
Incredible voice
Naw...listen to stan walker covering this song - then youll know 😊
Ok, I did that just to see and sorry but no. the walker cover was nice, but T-Pain's was a next level, take me to church, "this man lived this" experience. It's a feeling, it has nothing to do with technique. I guess if you REALLY know, you know. Some of us were born with a different perspective that ya'll don't understand and that's ok...
AND the Stan Walker version was DRY af. Walker is a good technical singer but he has no "seasoning"...
