@@steed1364 he has a video on here walking through some of his massive patches for the fez soundtrack which is very similar to the hyper light drifter soundtrack, definitely worth watching
@@keetyost that is pretty awesome and I had no idea! I'm going to look into those for a fun watch and add some more links to the description. The Fez OST is great too!
Hope you like the game! I'm a sucker for a good ARPG and had a blast! The series has been fun so far and gives me an excuse to play more games (as if I needed one haha)
This is so cool, totally nailed the vibe! The no-input mixing was super interesting, I've not heard of the technique and now I'm off to try and make it work in my DAW. Inspiring stuff, excited to see what else you make!
I appreciate it! The no-input mixing was definitely my favorite part. Really fun example of getting cool results by going outside the box. I actually have no idea how I would recreate that in the DAW... would love to hear if you're able to get that working!
This is sick. I've thought about doing something similar in regards to rescoring scenes in the past but never really committed, but hearing what you put together has lit a bit of a fire under me. Genuinely fantastic content, and the presentation is top-notch. Keep doing what you're doing king, no doubt you'll make some waves. Some more information on the "no-input mixing" would be dope - the results were amazing. All kinds of textural goodness that adds so much life to the track.
Really awesome reading your comment and seeing you get inspired! You should totally go for rescoring scenes. This was an idea I sat on for a while and let my own negative self-talk get in the way from starting but it has been a ton of fun! There is something cathartic about just getting something done and released out into the world. This series has really pushed me to do that. I think I'll definitely do a video on no input mixing in the future! In the meantime, I'm happy to plug the video that introduced me to it: ruclips.net/video/oUhfkaVUPY8/видео.html Sarah's channel is super awesome and inspiring!
Oh I’d love to see how many views you get with a C418 video. I’d also love to see some Laura Shigihara, Shoji Meguro, and Yoko Shimomura, if you’ve got ‘em. Great series!
Great ideas and suggestions, and thanks for checking out the channel :) Lots and lots of songs from those artists you mentioned all over my music playlists - they do masterful work!
This is really cool and useful! I got to see the new Hyper Light game last year at GDX and it’s incredible to see new ways that audio and sound are applied in that series. Thanks for sharing! ❤
fun fact: Disasterpeace mostly used "Massive" vst to produce this OST
Thanks for sharing! Thats pretty neat. I've considered diving into Massive in the past but knowing this I may just have to reconsider...

Not even the new version either, but the OG version of Massive from 2007. Dude's an absolute legend...
Awesome 😄
I appreciate it, and thank you for putting awesome music out into the world inspiring others like myself! 🙂
This video series is NUTS. I have learned so much so quick. Thanks a lot!🎉
Anytime, thanks for checking it out - always awesome to hear others learning/getting inspired!
Never heard of it, but that video game really _sounds_ dope. I will check it out.
Edit: Wait, you have a whole series?!

randomly came across your video, what a great concept for a video series! earned a sub from me. really interesting tunes, thanks for sharing :)
Thanks so much! I appreciate you for the kind words and for checking out the series!
Sounds great mate, inspiring stuff :)
THIS IS AMAZING
Thank you for checking it out!
with hyper light breaker not involving disasterpiece you could actually do a drifter disasterpiece rescore of it haha
Lol it could be fun to try and re-imagine it from a disasterpiece perspective! I'll be real curious to see how different the OST is with the new game
Do one on dustforce! The soundtrack was created by the same person who made the tunic ost
we love rich vreeland in this household
heavily underrated video
DRIFTER!?
love the sounds out of the no input mixing 🫶🫶🫶
