    Wahnsinn.

    Wonderful! I love your improvisation, Paul: it is truly beautiful and your registration on this organ is enchanting. The story goes that Harold Arlen, who wrote this melody in 1938, was being driven to a Chinese restaurant in Beverly Hills when he told his wife to stop the car on Sunset Boulevard so that he could write down this melody that had just popped into his head! I wish I could be so inspired on the way to a restaurant! On thing is for certain - your improvisation is certainly inspiring . . . and it took me all the way over the rainbow!

      @@FraserGartshore Fraser - you 'god' of all things organ! How I worship the improvisations I have heard you create! I think it's wonderful that you have commented on some of Paul's performances: he is a talent well worth nurturing. Maybe you could collaborate on something?

      Hi Graham - yep, I’ve been “silently” watching Paul over the past few months and love what he’s doing, especially the sound he’s using on his videos. He definitely knows what he’s doing and I’m sure he will continue to grow in our weird and wonderful organic world! Collaboration - sure thing - I’m trying to get my head around Hauptwerk’s intricacies - Paul’s a good few steps ahead of me there, so I dare say I’ll be in touch looking for a bit of help! I must get round to featuring one of your ditties one of these days! Any requests (send me some dots to learn!)??? See you online, F

      @@FraserGartshore I'm sure Paul can offer some tips with Hauptwerk. James Flores in Australia is also a tech wizard and he is a fan of your, so he'd gladly help, I'm sure. And Jerry Martin is also very hot with Hauptwerk and he would have some helpful ideas, too. I think - like all you fans - that your uploads are all MAGNIFICENT. Your presentations and commentaries are FABULOUS. I am honoured to have made contact. Thank you. (And my 'music' is too far beneath your dignity to merit your attention. But in my dreams . . . !)

    Given this performance, I would like to make a request: would you please consider recording a performance of Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" arranged for the organ by William Strickland (published by Schirmer/Hal Leonard)? I'd love to hear it somewhat along the same lines (tempo and registration) of the recording made by Felix Hell. Unfortunately Felix's recording was made live and has many distracting background noises. I'm sure that, given your artisitic sensitivity and the many available sample sets, you could produce an even more sensitive and stunning performance (sans coughing, bird chirps, foot squeeks, door slams, etc.)

    • @PaulFey
      @PaulFey  2 года назад

      Yes! I‘m planning to record the Adagio by Barber someday - I didn’t find the right organ for that yet though 😀

      @@PaulFey I'm wondering if "Nancy" would work - it has a huge acoustic; I'm not sure about the stoplist for strings. Or maybe "Dudelange".
