Since he has a large house he can really experiment plus I think that most of it was designed by the old owners … The real reason minimalism has taken off these days is because it is easier to maintain , houses are small and easy to mass produce … easier on the eyes … on a minimalist peace of furniture of iron work all you need to do is one swipe whereas if it has floral design , you need to clean so many crevices …. For even people who are moneyed time is of the essence

You used to visit the house every Diwali since childhood and we can say ..that kid inside you stayed the same (you walking on the balcony wall) haha. The house looks so peaceful and cold (in a good way). With time those TV and Furniture became vintage and am just appreciating for the maintenance. Love the house energy. If I ever had the chance, I'd build a beach facing bungalow like this. It has been a long-time dream of mine. Jim gives me the vibe of Gianni Versace. They have similar personality and style. I love what he said about the cons of minimalism. To me a certain amount of balance is the most appealing style so I can have a blank canvas and fill it with a few pieces that have a history and are ornate.
OMG ... This is one of my dream homes. The place fulfils 95% of my dreams as to how a home should be built. This type of house is good either on a mountain or on a sea shore. I dislike minimalism and totally agree with Jim's views on this.
