Access restrictions at Atlanta airport go into effect today | What to know

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport says access will be limited to "passengers, personnel, individuals meeting or greeting passengers."

This should be a law because you are traveling on a federally controlled area. Any non-ticketed person who is not meeting arriving passengers should be banned from the airport. The police, port authority security and other law-enforcement officials have enough on their plate to make sure biardy and flying safety is enforced. They should not be burdened with panhandle, mentally ill, violent homeless, and other people squatting at airports or taking up space on airport commuter rail and ground transport vehicles. Tourists arriving at the airport should not have to worry about being harassed. This is a safety and health issue.
