My son and I love this Plane Brian. I bought the LED light upgrade and did a you tube video on it in the snow! The Lights look AWESOME! Great video Brian as always thanks! You are lucky I can't get my wife to record my videos lol.

Thank you, Brian. I've been a big fan for a while! Bought my first plane, Bigfoot 1300 mm, after your awesome review and, of course, crashed but not horribly. Put flying on hold, started a YT channel for rc crawling, and just took to the air again in a micro Hero-Copter! 5 successful flights and landings! Thank you for inspiring me to have some damn FUN!!! Oh, and stay small!✌️

I love aviation, and love making this Aerodrome. I REALLY need to figure out how to get other people to help, like they do at Joe Nall, but he has about 17 times larger piece of land, which leaves more room for this type of work...and he's WAY farther out into BFE land...but not for long!!!! That new E-BMW plant is gonna be realllllly close - SCARY close...

Got mine delivered yesterday…. Can’t wait for very very calm flying conditions hoping I can just go fly this around my cul-de-sac.
Great vid as always. Two things - First - I really wish there were more options out there in the 850mm to 900mm range. Seems like the Ranger 850mm is about the only one. Second - Camera crew might not agree - but I think Brian would look darn good with just the mustache (mustache wearer myself).
Love this plane in the larger size but the price is just insane. I could never fly this in South Florida.
Looks like it'll fly inside the basketball gym I've got access to in town. I've tried flying the UMX TimberX and the UMX Airtractor there. Didn't quite work out. Granted, I was just starting this hobby then. But, this littke bugger looks great for that situation.
Brian would be so jealous of me flying all warm and toasty in a gym, while he's out In minus 10F 😂 (sorry Camera Crew)

You can fly the smaller ones in a Gym, but GOTTA just about make fixed flaps for them...they just "BITE" too hard...or swap out for a less aggressive pitch prop...and use the smaller battery too.

Hey man, I was over on Twisted Hobbys website and saw a Hacker Models Rescue Boat. You need this one with your pond. It's an EPP air boat that looks like it would be a blast whether you needed a rescue or you were just running it. I think it goes into ground effect when you're hard in the throttle but there's very few vids on it.

It's becoming what I envisioned, but has been a lot more work than I thought it might be...HOWEVER, that's "new" pond stuff, and it is amazing to walk in the bedroom and see the moon shining in the water...we need to make a flight video from the WATER from the master, since I can see pretty much perfectly from there. That would be a fun video!
Wish you still had access to your pond! I just went to Missouri yesterday and they had a ton of houses with ponds quite literally AT the front door! They also had a ton of them that were BIG in front yards...but the yards were small - weird looking, but it was still dang cool! When I was a teenager, my family had a pond, and it was very neat to enjoy, but we never took as full advantage of that pond, as I do here! Haven't even fished yet!!!!

I was looking at getting this but I saw Rage RC put out a "X4" version of their Vintage Stick with ailerons and a 440mm wingspan. So I got that.
Still this may be nice to pick up with the lights eventually for relaxing flight.
I will never buy another Rage RC product after they soaked me $170 for that shitty micro Electra they put their name on (obviously badly made in China). I completely lost respect for them because they went ahead and sold that plane. Imagine the Eflite micros that you could get for $170. That purchase still hurts when I think about it.
@@thebunkreport I was tempted by that one too but after seeing some RUclips videos I was turned off on it.
I did a ton of my learning to fly with their super cub mx4 and that was a fun little plane. I think they tried to do too much in too small of a size with the Electra
@@Glowingtomato Yes the cub was a good plane, and some of their micro warbirds are pretty good. The Electra seemed poorly produced. The "retracts" (one of the rasons I bought it) never worked so I ended up hand launching it. It barely had enough power to fly.

Any plans to do a install and setup of the LED kit?
I don't have a kit, and didn't have plans to do it, but would be happy to showcase it if I had my hands on the kit. I'd like to see it look like a glowing fireball out there in the darkness...then this plane would be EXCELLENT! Since it basically only likes to fly in DEAD calm conditions, or indoors.

I bought the BNF version. I have it bound to my DX6E. I used the very simple set up instructions that came with the plane. Question I have is does the BNF version allow for beginner, intermediate, and expert flight modes?
I wonder how much more performance that lil stick would have with no dihedral, it seems they gave it way too much, especially for a stick
The bigger one has loads also. Personally, I don't care for the way they fly. My idea of an "ugly stick" is a boxy fuselage with straight wings. I have some that I built from foam board and they fly great.
And if you add some tiny floats…😊

Hi Brian. I'm curious, does the spectrum smart battery line up weigh what the spectrum say they do? I don't use soectrum batteries but some of the batteries do not weigh what the product specs say the do. I'm curious about the real weight on a spectrum 6s 4000mah 50c actually weighs on some accurate scales. Could you check and see if you have scales?
It would be great if you did FPV and went through it like you do all the planes.
I'd like to be able to do this, but if we were to do FPV, and share the footage, the FAA would require Part 107 for that...one of the many idiotic parts of the "drone registry". Sorry mike

Nice plane, but for $10 more you can get a Sport Cub S2, which is much more capable.
I don't disagree with your assessment, and many will want the LIGHTER, slower flying nature of the Sport Cub S2. I think some of the TARGET price points that Horizon tried to hit get obliterated in production changes...which is why we don't see LED's on this plane...when they really OUGHT to be on there - a couple Fair LED's is all this thing needs, and at 47 grams, what's another 3 grams between friends ;)

this fliping sucks as an airplane turbo timber is way better.
Turbo Timber IS a way better UMX, but it's a lot more, and it's for a different application. I just wish they made this SLOWER and LIGHTER (or just slower) so it could legit fly in the living room, then it would be awesome.
