I noticed in one of the b-roll shots of your Notion page that you had "reach 1,000 RUclips subs" as a goal and I thought "that can't be right.. this video is so well put together and he is so great in front of the camera that he must have hundreds of thousands of subs". Keep up the high quality content and you will be there in no time!
Damn man. The quality of this video is incredible! To see that you haven’t posted anything since, has me worried because you’ve got some promising stuff here and I don’t assume you’d leave it behind without a drastic reason. Hoping everything is well with you
I started journaling on my 11-inch iPad Pro with the Pencil, and I will never go back to pen and paper. Even though it's not quite as engaging and personal even backed by a study by Japanese scientists, the amount of space I will save over the years, having highlighting, eraser, and other features - make it absolutely worth it over pen and paper or typing on a computer which isn't nearly as engaging. Not to mention how easy it is to organize your entries and retrieve them.
I just downloaded a digital reading journal but I’m not giving up my bullet journal for digital. In the past I made my own bullet journal on my iPad using GoodNotes with the hyperlinked pages and everything but I never used it. But I write in my bullet journal every day.
Thanks! I’m feeling hopeful! Those are the exact apps I’m hoping can transition me away from paper. Would love to see more detail on the transition and setup!
The best purchase I made last year was getting the iPad mini for journaling this year. Notion didn't work out for me for tracking everything including a daily journal, so I'm hoping notability does the trick!
I've seen several videos about this, it's really complicated for me (and I'm not even old). I'll continue with my traditional notebook and pen I guess. hahaha
Subbed, my friend! Sorry missed the 2022 deadline for your goal... Always happy to hear your voice on WVFRM, and glad to now be a part of your community!
Yo this is a great video! I’m currently looking for an iPad and it’s great to see you showcase it in actual use rather than just static shots. If I got one I’d probably use it for outdoor sketching
Dang, I started down this tablet road with the same thought regarding my kindle. Had a Nook, read voraciously on it, it bricked, I stopped reading. Years later bought a kindle and now I read again? Ergo, if I had a device to journal and sketch more, I would. And it'd be more organized. Cheers to the digital experiment, hope it's going well for you
You're doing my exact use case I ponder upon: reading books, bujoing in goodnotes (switched for this year to a physical book) and using Notion (Zettelkasten and long term projects). Now ... how did you do 2 months later?
Really cool video and it would be cool to see how the transition works out! Don't know if you're a podcast guy, but there's a really good conversation between Malcom Gladwell and David Epstein about the 10k hour rule from "Outliers" VS " Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World" from "The Next Big Idea Podcast" or "92nd Street Y " youtube channel
I’ve been pretty curious about how it would be to have digital bullet journal would be. I do still like the analogue nature of it but I am trying to integrate notes/freeform more lately and see how that goes. I dug the use of handwriting you edited in. Presumably that was your handwriting with the Apple Pencil on the iPad? That’s where my brain went anyways coz I’ve also been curious about that. “Sure I have records and I have a record player, you know I’m not above some hipster vibes” made me laugh
Great video man. I learnt two things instantly which is one, I should be using Notion and two I've been using the iPad Pro for a year and I've only just learnt watching you do it that if you swipe down on a key you get the secondary key. Can't believe how long it took me to find that out. It's been a year since you've made this video. How did you get on?
Hello. New subscriber here before you hit 1 million subs. Feeling OG sub already. Great video. Please make this iPad Mini a series: Best apps for journaling (GoodNotes vs Notability). Notion, Evernote, Apple Notes App. Personal organization (finance via Notion or other app). Best companion accessories for the iPad Mini. How’s the paperlike over time. Thank you in advance. Amazing job
Great video! I just checked out the Notion app, and I really like it. I’m currently struggling through writing my 2021 annual review for work, and I think this would really help in 2022… just to help remember the smaller, incremental accomplishment, not just the big or recent things.

Thanks man appreciate it 🙌
This needs a follow up.
About to do this with the new mini! looking around for other people's setups! :D

Can you elaborate, which apps are you using ?

Hey Man, this is an incredible video! Though I kinda noticed that your notion is a beast too! Would you be sharing that with us?

Hey! do you have a link to your notion template? I really like your whole bullet journal setup and think it would be helpful to me.
Would also love to have a link to the template

So cool man I wanted to start keeping journals and now I'm gonna use the bullet
Do it! Definitely a great way to keep track of things

I love your video! I'm thinking of buying an iPad mini for similar cases, and it was very helpful. Keep going with the videos!

Any update on how the year went? Are you still digital? I’ve tried going digital a few times and there is always something that pulls me back.

Haha appreciate the optimism 🙌 and I love that idea thank you! I'm a big note taking nerd so why not
Love your video. Just discovered your channel in the studio channel from MKBHD.
That’s why you like the Apple Journal app.
Great video! Makes me want to switch from my pro to the mini but that 60Hz screen 😭
Dude I know that's the hardest thing to let go for sure :/ but it is what it is 🥺
HOW IS IT GOING??
Really good video, content and rhythm
Good video! Keep it up.

The nighttime MKBHQ vibes tho 👌
Keep it going. You should have waaaay more subscribers!
It’s been half a year. How do you like using the mini?
I went back to a regular notebook 😔 it wasn’t for me lol
@@Adamlukas You should make updated video then. I know people switching to Ipad Mini like you, just to come back to regular notebook
I guess your year didn’t go as planned, as there we no updates on your transition since 10 months.
Drop more casio/watches videos I guess?
Oh they're coming 👍

Yeah it's a bit intimidating but once you get the hang of it notion is super fun
