There is a part 4, but in a form of a video game. The story is about the alternate storyline of the 1st movie when the DeLorean didn't make it back in time when Doc ran a trial on that mall's parking lot with Einstein in it. So, Einstein was gone & eventualy Doc, too. About a year later in 1986, the bank put Doc's house & things into auction. There's a new character. An angry controlling old lady, a relative of Mr. Strickland, Marty's headmaster. Long story short, the DeLorean arrived in 1986 only with Einstein but no Doc. Marty went to the 30s after finding clues Doc left in the DeLorean. Marty met young Doc Brown & Biff's dad Kid Tannen who was a mafia. The old Doc was in jail in 1930 & Marty ried to get him out. To do that, he had to meet the young Doc. Young Doc fell in love with a young girl & Marty unintentionally became their matchmaker. The girl ended up to be that Ms. Strickland & when he returned to 1986, Hill Valley became a dark Orwellian city with Doc & Ms. Strickland as his wife controlling everything like the Big Brother in the movie 1984. He went back in time to snap Doc's mind back to how it was before, separate Doc & Ms. Strickland, & save 1986 from becoming a dark Orwellian city. Michael J Fox became a guest voice actor as the alternate future Marty who is a rockstar & an a-hole, like what Marty said in the end of Part 1. "What trouble, Doc? Are we gonna be a-holes or something?"
That would be cool, like as a movie tho if they did it. I always think how different things would be if ppl had decided at any other moment in time to do something.
@Vito Rao I've been wishing for a cure for Parkinson's disease since I was a kid..but I know now we're not gonna have it in our lifetime... such is life... :(
@Vito Rao It's all experimental treatments, you know. People die from Parkinson's disease every day. I'm well familiar with that, it runs in the family..
Something like that happened with the Lord of The Rings, it was thicker than the Bible and the editor was like "hell no, nobody will buy this shit, cut shit down". Tolkien hated the idea of making it smaller, so they ended up dividing it into three books: "The fellowship of the ring", "The two towers" and "The return of the King".
Gale and Zemeckis have a contract with universal studios that says a sequel cannot be made without their permission. Both Bob’s have stated that as long as they draw breath, BTTF will never get a fourth movie or remake.
They can work wonders with FX nowadays. Sure tech as like de-aging/DeepFake could help overcome the obstacles in the way of MJF reprising his role as Marty.
I say go ahead and make Back to the Future 7; Doc Opens a Disco and have it played by Christopher Lloyd & Michael J. Fox swapping roles, and they have to get the funks-capacitor to 88…2088! Ho yeah!
Christopher Lloyd seemed mindblown by the idea
As much as i would like to see a part 4. I agree the movies are fine where they are, more and more sequels would just kill it.

On my opinion, Back to the Future: The Game is for me THE Back to the Future: part IV.

Is MJF's dieases part of the reason why there's no other sequel?
