I remember Peter Kay saying that after Ronnie Corbett fell off that treadmill he woke up in the middle of the night laughing his head off just thinking about it, luckily Ronnie wasn't injured and had a laugh about it too.

Peter Kay really wanted to have 'Sammy the Snake' explode on-screen but this would have been too difficult to achieve. They achieved the effect of it exploding off-screen by firing rubber strips out of an air cannon.
When you get to the end of this series, you've got to watch all the outtakes, they are so funny.

Crazy as Amarillo was a genuine music charting song when it came out- and is arguably a song which many people know and sing along to whenever it comes on to this day. Peter Kay is a genius.
If you remember the end of the phoenix night's episode in the Peter Kay thing when the club burns down .. Brian stands up from his wheelchair so he is claiming or something 😂

Amarillo seems so long ago when you see how many are no longer with us anymore. Wondered if you have seen Peter Kay with Andy from Little Britain doing I'm gonna to be (500 miles) The Proclaimers song which they did for Comic Relief or Peter Kays All Star Band (Featuring Paddington, Bob the Builder, Postman Pat, Sponge Bob and more) for Children in Need.

That services is just outside Bolton, where the club is, also used for the services from that keter kay thing. Sadly that services was bought and demolished in 2011 and replaced

Hey Taffe if your looking for any suggestions on other series I got a weird one for you. The Adventures of Lucky Luke, a Franco-Belgian cartoon dating back to 70 years ago. It’s had several different animated series over the years, myself and my buddy have been watching thru the Hanna Barbara adaption from the 70s as well as the 90s New Adventures of Lucky Luke. Its a zany wild west looney tunes style show with the titular hero Lucky Luke being the fastest gun in the west and he goes up against caricatures of historical figures from american wild west history. Thought you might find it interesting because it is a Belgian take on America’s frontier days.

I was just thinking to my self I would love you to react to the comic/drama channel 4 series Teachers the early series starred Andrew Lincoln (walking dead) and was made in a similar time period to Phoenix nights. I only recommend it as it’s kind of been forgotten about now and I’m scratching my head to think why. It has great acting and Edgar Wright esk directing (although not sure it was directed by him but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was) it does have some adult themes but nothing much worse than in the inbetweeners the few sex scenes there are infrequent and fairly tame. But yeah just a suggestion if you are looking for any I would like the world to take notice of this show and get the love it deserves well the first 2 series at least then it does dip in quality perhaps that’s why it’s been forgotten about the dip in quality, but series 1 well worth your time 2 can be good 3 is starting to dip but still on the right side of good and well I wouldn’t blame you for not wanting to do 4. Just a thought I had and see what you might think.
