Jalen Brunson had one of the most underrated seasons of any point guard in the NBA last year. He helped elevate the New York Knicks to the 5th seed in a tight Eastern Conference. In the process of helping the Knicks take the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat to 6 games in the semifinals, Jalen Brunson averaged a whopping 31 points per game.
Yet somehow, Brunson wasn't selected to an All Star team.
His evolution as a player, going from the 2nd option next to Luka Doncic with the Dallas Mavericks to the lead guard for the New York Knicks, is truly a fascinating one. Jalen Brunson's game deserves a deep dive.

Proved he’s at bare minimum a top 5 PG in the east when the ball is put in his hands. A (90s) traditional floor general. He has an automatic mid range floater and pull up. Can take guys to the post. Can shoot close enough to 40% from 3. You put a superstar with him, you really have something. A guy that can get his from anywhere. Doesn’t need the ball all the time and can actually make the superstar better.

Unfortunately, you have to win to be considered one if the best. Tyrese is young and full of potential. However, he looks to feed more than actually attacking the defense in vulnerable situations. Jalen brunson almost always makes the right decisions in tight situations rather than forcing unneeded assist.

Ty is a much better passer, and he's barely grown up. Look for him to lead the NBA in assists this season and be near top 10 in steals. Pacers make the playoffs, Ty an all-star again, and Brunson again... not.

For who? Idk another pf who they can trade for without trading all their dept. If randle wasn't inconsistent, this Knicks squad would be scary AF but because randle falls off a cliff it's not and it's aggravating.
