    I rode this coaster all the time as a kid (I still ride it today), and I’ve always thought this coaster was short, scenic, and sweet (No pun intended)!

    "Weeeeeeeeeee... Trailblazer!" It is nice hearing adults act like kids on a roller coaster (that is also likely for kids). It makes the video feel more lively.

    I haven't ridden this one in a while but I'm glad they've kept it around for the families with young kids that visit the park. It's great for everyone to ride. I remember riding it before StormRunner was built and the que line wasn't under this ride and it obviously didn't go by the station and launch track. It was more scenic in that area and dark at night which is fun.

    Amusement part always gives me this giddy feeling and has for years. I feel like a little kid again. The only other thing that can do this for me is music.
    When I listen to bands like Delta Parole, the best

    Looked pretty "smooth" for an Arrow of that age. These mine trains were like the 2.0 version. 1972 Dexter Frebish Electric Roller Ride @ the defunct AstroWorld had the 1st 2nd generation mine train. It too had a single lift and went about the same speed as Trailblazer. It's also nicely painted. Hershey is a great park!

    This was my first roller coaster, sometime in the late 1970s. For many years, the only one I'd ever ridden. I remember finding the headchopper under the Dry Gulch Railroad scary intense.

    • @MattMcIrvin

      (I'd say I have warm nostalgic memories about that but I actually forgot I'd ridden it once as a child until my sister jogged my memory. But I have nostalgic memories about my SECOND ride on it, with my 5-year-old daughter.)

      @@F4billionyearzag0during the Christmas celebration only a handful of roller coasters are open and Trailblazer is not one of them. If you’re looking for the older coasters of your youth, Comet is not open during Christmas either but SoonerDooperLooper is. Jolly Rancher Remix is kinda old and that is also (it used to be called something else but I’m drawing a blank. It’s basically a boomerang coaster)

    • @mhtube01
      @mhtube01 2 года назад

      I feel like that's a newer thing, I don't remember it slowing the train down that much, if at all. I rode it years ago and don't remember it hitting at all and it really gained some speed at the bottom of the final helix which was fun.

    • @MattMcIrvin
      @MattMcIrvin 2 года назад

      @@mhtube01 Yeah, maybe it was just that I was a young kid at the time but I remember it taking that underpass with some speed, so that there was a significant headchopper illusion.

      You have to look for it as it doesn't stand out unlike their other coasters. In fact it's almost hidden unless you walk through the right areas. If you walk down the hill from Great Bear's station back towards StormRunner, you'll pass it.
