First bite was like ok... this is HOT.... second bite after a short rest was like eating something extremely hot and sizzling right from the frying pan... third and latter you just don't really care anymore and start questioning your place in the universe and things
you have an appreciation for heat...and it shows.
Lmfao OMG I'm in trouble 😂😂😂. I ate the normal version and that version was hot 🥵 🔥🔥. Looks like I'm going to be planning my funeral ⚱️.
Yep after the first time I learned, if I wanted to actually enjoy the flavor next time, I gotta eat it quicker
@@Flyingsandwiches-nr1zc the normal one is not that hot but my god the 2x is not so satisfying to eat

As someone who LOVES spicy food, this was way too much for me
SAMEE
Same but we power through we improve. Ate my second pack last night and didnt take breaks because I was drunk and accepted the burn. Im now typing this sat on the toilet feeling the burn elsewhere..😂
Had some today, these were quite something. Ended up finishing the bowl, eyes tearing up, mouth on fire... never again. Will be buying more though 👍
Me too, I classify this as torture 😅
I’ve been eating Samyang/spicy Korean noodles for years. You get used to it. Sometimes even enjoy it
Didn’t know what I was in for. Just trying some new ramen. Lol. Ate 2 packs because that’s how much I cooked. At first I was shocked by the spice, but after it got as hot as it was getting I realized that it was super tasty. So good behind the heat. I really liked it. Looked it up soon after and found out it was a challenge that people were doing. Now I’m here.
hes not kidding i just ate a pack and instantly had to youtube it, my lips are still burning
Same to me
lmao same i just had them for the first time and its the kind of spicy thats just not fun anymore its not even hot it just hurts
@@tazdestiny2411haha true I just did that
Ate these today and now I'm sitting on the shitter regretting my life choices
After I ate these it burned when I took a piss!
lol
I actually made a double spice packet version of these today without realizing…. I could hear colors
Lol - I can imagine you would have!
You can buy 7.05 oz bottles of the sauce if you decide you like doubling up on the sauce! I use these instead of sinus medicine lol
@@kennethgren8549 Stuff like this is great for the sinuses!
@@speculative the capsaicin in spicy food actually promotes the production of white blood cells. So peppers are actually really good for your body.
😂🤣😂🤣
I had the exact same initial reaction as you bro. I had set my expectations really low, and it was a definite shock when I found out how spicy they were.
Now I love these noodles especially the sauce packet. It’s so flavorful. I sometimes reserve half of it for like bbq and such.
You can buy the sauce separately
A year later and I always find myself coming back to this video! Something about your reactions and commentary is so satisfying and nice to listen to even if your mouth may be on fire haha! Great work, please keep reviewing more spicy noodles, I love these types of videos. This video, however, is my all time favorite on this channel for sure! :)
Glad you enjoy it! Thank you!
haha I used to live in South Korea and work as a teacher. I got used to eating incredible spicy food. I haven't been in Korea for 10 years and found these and wanted to try them. Jeeez. I finished them in 3-5 minutes. The trick is to not stop, and to swallow fast. If you keep the noodles in your mouth, they will fuck you up real bad! I was sweating like a pig
Did you also enjoy them when they were negociating their way out?
@@PaulaBean Yes, although it wasn't as bad as expected
I've had these noodles 4 times now & I'm starting to get used to them. This ramen is good for raising your spice tolerance.
Bro i am 12 yrs i ate this thinking its a local brand and will not be spicy but i finished it i was having a moment in heaven while eating lol ☠️
These noodles were my go to the moment I learned from Koreans that egg yolk was the solution to the pain of the spiciness. Out of all the instant noodles I've tried these are the best and the combination of the sauce and the egg yolk makes it a nearly creamy delight.
Really great advice - thank you
Spring onion is another great addition, aswell as butter (as wierd as it sounds, adding butter makes it so great)
Dont forget sesame oil, seeds and fried garlic is great also
I stir fry them in butter until the bottom is crispy. I add some cheddar cheese on top. Creamy cheesy and oh so yummy. I think the cheese might’ve neutralized the spice a bit.
Salmonella?
If I could have these for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; I would be the happiest person alive. I love these things! The heat hits just right for me!
I love these things but when I'm 75% done with the noodles and I'm not as hungry, its impossible to finish, but I don't drink milk, I like to just let it be spicy all the time
@@professored7169 Dude when I'm done with one I just want to make another haha.
These noodles are so expensive where I live though.
@@InDeaththey should be only 40 cents
@@radzuwan85 It's like 50 where i live which is really expensive for us.
@@InDeath oof
I really like these, the regular and the 2x hot is really good too... but I use a slightly different preparation method. I heat about a tbsp of vegetable oil in a small pan and cook the noodles separately. I heat the oil, spice packet (hot sauce) and the packet of dry flakes in the pan and then add the cooked noodles to the hot oil mix like a stir fry... the oil seems to add something to the finished product that is better than just a waterbased sauce ... hot hot hot... but good good good
I'll try this when I make the regular ones later today. will let ytou know what i think compared to the normal cooking method
It hurts so bad 🤣 I can’t put the whole packet of sauce.
I just ate these. I prefer the regular version - the 2x is just too much stinging heat and it takes away from the really nice flavor of the regular version which is already plenty hot. The regular ones have a really nice flacor
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who suffered through these. I'll try the BBQ sauce, and I'm adding a few pieces of Spam and an egg. Oh and a glass of milk on the side. Also I'll not put in the whole sauce packet this next time. I bought a 5 pack and still have 4 left after eating the first packet.
❤😂❤ wow beautiful

My mouth is on fire brooo😂 imma just stick to the 1x with my own added amount of sauce
I just tried to eat these, made it about 5 very large mouthfuls before I decided as tasty as they were, it was not worth the pain I was going through. I'll try the regular ones next time, maybe that will be a little more pleasant.
Yea... I just tried this yesterday....FIRE!!! I liked the taste but my lips were on FIRE! As much as I liked it, I can't do this again.
I got headphones on and the sounds remind me of that virtual barber experience video back in the day😂
I should've watch this before buying
Bro sameeeee I fucked up really bad
I had the 3x noodles a couple months ago and am now trying the 2x tomorrow. My experience with the 3x was pretty intense, milk did not work and water would of activated it.
But my overall rating would be a 9/10
Noodles are really great! I added sea-mix when cooking - and it made all PERFECT!
I love spicy. Wasn’t a fan of these. I finished them, but lord did I start sweating. The flavor is actually good if you can get past the heat and the noodle is a good texture, not too mushy… but I’ll never buy these again 😂 I’m Latino, and I swear, the only times I’ve been burnt up are eating Asian foods, the first time was Chinese food, now here we are with these Korean noodles. Nothing ever burns me up, but now I’m concerned about heartburn and 🍑burn 😂😂😂 apparently there’s a 3x🔥 too. They can f**k off with that though.
F**k, I just bought some, and I love spicy food, but now im second guessing my choice lol I'm gonna try them now
@@Akah.h hahaha, you’ll live! They really do have a good flavor if you can work through the heat. But I still haven’t had these again 😂
I just bought some now y'all making me nervous lmao
flavor is awesome but its for sure waaay hotter then 8k scoville as marketed
These were inedible. So damn spicy. Instant belly cramps. Lip burn for 30 minutes
literally eating these while i type this, yep they are super hot, but the taste and texture is MAGICAL!
Everytime im eating noodles i get images of a bowl of ramen in my head which makes me eat it faster 😂😂😂
I got these for $.99 clearance for a 5 pack. I think the store doesn’t want them because no one will buy them. My bf LOVES spicy food! He complains that nothing is spicy enough for him. Let’s see what he thinks of these!!
Eating these right now. Gobbled up three big bites cause they were so tasty. Now I've just been trying to ease the pain for the last 5 minutes. Don't know when I'll continue eating.
I just got them because they looked good in store . I had no idea what I did ........ I took my first bite and almost fell out of my seat . I immediately looked them up and found you. This video was hilarious to me because I understand your pain lol keep it up man
IN THE SAME SITUATION RIGHT NOW
@@fuukakoryokuu 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm saving these bad boys for the winter lmao I was in here sweating 😂
They were great!! Im weary of getting noodles they say are “hot” and getting multiple packets just to end up not eating the rest because they’re not hot enough or just taste weird. But these are fantastic and wish I got more 😭😭
I've ate the regular ones and going into this I felt keen because I like spicy and thought they wouldn't be as spicy as crazy chicken wings I've had, but they were too hot for enjoyment for me, I usually just have egg noodles with extra hot frank's hot sauce and that meets my requirements
Why am I at work dying 🤣🤣 and I only used 2/3 of the sauce 😂
I love spicy foods and literally cannot finish them. I attempted five bites. My mouth was burning and my nose running. I had to stop and get a glass of milk and a tissue. They were delish though. Maybe next time I only use a tiny portion of the sauce.
i bought these today at the store i didnt even know what it was and the how it taste without thinking i bought it and rn loooking at this videooo it make me just wanna cook this rn
Had the normal buldak today. Thought it was pretty hot but I didn't think anything of it. It wasn't until the bathroom later I realized what I had eaten. The *ahem* second burn was way worse than the first.
Yo, I'm watching this, while eating the same noodles. Flavor and noodles is an A+ BUT that after burn, 5 mins after my first bite and my tongue is still tingling
these r literally my favorite ever
Took me an hour to eat these noodles. Had to finish what I started though!
This RUclipsr has a high spice tolerance!
he keeps saying he cann't taste anything lmao, he is WAY past his tolerance level.
It also took me and my boyfriend an hour to eat these, just one packet for both
I couldn't finish it especially since I made them like a noodle soup and not a stir fry like his lol
@@guillermotejeda692 if you eat 1 packet every day for 5 days you will handle the spicyness much more after that
@@BadW0lf_ Does the pros outweigh the cons lol?
These noodles are so delicious. I always add bacon an egg, cheese, and a little mayo. So delicious.
Sounds great!
@The Noodle Life it is is. Those other ingredients cut the pepper a bit. So you're actually tasting everything and not just the pepper.
Never seen someone use two bowls to eat noodles, but ok! These are my favorite ramen. The flavour is absolutely amazing. The heat is intense, but the flavour is so addictive. I’ve gone through 12 of them so far.
i love balduk noodles, i ran out and my wife bought some more for me, i didn't realize it was the 2x one until it was too late. They're still so good though! I add a little bit of chicken bouillion to it too since i want it saltier
This thing was literally painful to eat😂 God bless I’ve bought a bottle of milk as a backup😂
“Let me try another one”
Yeah, tried these today. There is claim of 10.000 scoville and the afterburn is (and manageable) but in your mouth this is like 250.000 - 500.000. Man It’s legit hot!
the actual rating for them is averaging around 225,000 to 275,000 scoville units..
Yeah, that’s legit 😅
A scientist did a thorough SHU (Scoville Heat Units) test & on January 8th 2020, the liquid packet in the noodles tested at around 260,000 Scoville heat units.
Thanks! Had these again and they are still hot 😂 They taste great 👍
One of the toughest noodles I have ever had. 2 mouth fulls, your burning and then the aftermath is tough. Best way to get ride of a stuffy nose. Same with clearing out the chest. My go to when I get stuffy.
The best hack for these that a lot of westerners don't know about is to add a piece of american cheese or a tempered egg to mellow out the spice. Green onions are a must, but not even hardcore koreans use the whole sauce packet.
They make 3x version too no joke asian supermarkets best place to buy them
These noodles make me feel alive.
Now I'll make this for my foodie friends 😂
This is the hottest thing you can get at most grocery stores. I’m a huge spice fan and this made me work hard. Very good but I need time to get used to it.
These are good. I usually add some proteins and enoki mushrooms
My favorite noodles, the dizziness from the spice is very fun
I swear i got into a trip from this
I ate a packet yesterday, I had to pause from time to time, and dry my scalp with a towel ;-)
I know how you feel!
Only one use for these noodles, to give to that friend that always eats spicy food like they have something to prove!
Hmmm, the sauce might go well in crawfish boil. 🤔
So...I ate these last night...albeit with a little more water. The funny thing is...I'm not salvating from the thought of eating these like I normally do when I think of eating spicy foods...but my forehead is sweating!!!😂😂😂
You didn't have any water left in your body to salvate after all that sweating!
I came here after eating this 2x spicy Buldak Ramen it's crazy spicy bruh 😂🥵🔥 i was sweating water
i just made these i didnt expect this spicy i just grabbed a random noodle package thought looks yummy omg i was wrong i could feel the sounds
Best to eat the noodles in between soft and not too soft. Trust me there's a taste difference
Yeah, the heat is so strong and persistent that even people like you and me who are used to hot food may not find eating them enjoyable. I had bought the 5-pack, but after trying the first package, I will cut back a bit on the hot sauce or else forget the sauce and just repurpose the noodles using a spicy teriyaki sauce. They gave me a mild stomach ache and hurt almost as much on the way out as on the way in.
The slurping hahahah!!!!
I thought the initial bite was okay, like I’m gonna survive this. The two or three after killed my mouth and tongue then I got some serious cramps…couldn’t finish. The rest of the packages were used with Better Than Bouillon chicken flavor and a tiny bit of the hot sauce for each serving.
I assume you aren't going to buy more, but the first time having them is by far the spiciest. Maybe the second package would have been more enjoyable
Eating rn and I’m dying omfg
look cute, real blond?
I wish i read these comments before eating them 😂 my mouth is tingling haha
Greetings from Norway. Watching this as I had my own. Thanks for the giggle!
This was spicy, I enjoyed it at first, my lips were on fire. My tongue was fine. I eat spicy food all the time.I had the noodles as they cooled down. I was sweating, not as bad as you.
You overcooked it. Next time just put less water and a pinch of vegetable oil and leave the heat on Hi. Stir fry for 45 seconds place on plate spread the Sesame seeds & Seaweed mix and enjoy👍
Thanks for the tips!
@@TheNoodleLife You're very welcome. Great content 👍
oil?! the thing's got tons of it as it is. and it's not a stir fry, it's noodles.
Ha! That lightheadedness you feel is called an Endorphin Rush lol! Remember Joe, what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger! 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼
I like to buy to packs and add 2 sauces for one pack makes it more of a challenge (I ate so much spicy food i cant taste the spice anymore)
I had this 2 times, trust me guys a normal eating spicy person cannot eat this at all!! After the first bite you will definitely see the colours 🤣🤣 your eyes will get watery. To reduce some of the spiciness I used a little oil and garlic and I added the sauce and stir fried it.
Nice Spyderco!
I bought some of the regular spicy, and the 2x spicy. Eating 2x was a BIG mistake.
im considering buying some of the regular ones. Are they really spicy? Like hard to handle spicy?
@@sophhbbs They are perfect actually, maybe a little stomach pain after but other than that, 10/10
@@ColinRBLX oh thanks a lot. Definitely gonna buy xx
@@sophhbbs Np!
@@sophhbbs They are still fairly hot and your mouth will burn but Id say if you like pretty spicy food they are tolerable. They make a “light version” that is air fried and a tad less spicy. Also the “carbo” flavor in the pink pack is a tad less spicy too. I love these noodles so I bought the sauces too!!!!
you were supposed to drain almost all the boiling water then add, the sauce and seasoning, you made it less spicy
Man I had this and it wasn’t even that spicy 😂 like it was spicy but I thought would of been worse
I eat these thinking it was just very spicy but not like challenging spicy. It made me sweating all over my head! haha If you feel cold it can definitly make you forget about it for a moment.
edit: thanks for the honest review and not a clickbait one
for extra spicy noodles, for taste and pleasure i add a spoon of sour cream ! it does the trick !
as someone that loves spicy food, these were awesome. But it's definitely not going to be a repeat buy...
The x2 is to spicy but the regular ones are very good if you like really spicy food.
I didn't taste that one but the one provided in a bowl, but I think it's the same. However, I found it too salty. Also, I added a bit black sesame, and afterwards, I also added a bit sour cream which helped a bit with the spiciness - probably the same as with you barbecue sauce.
Honestly I recommend put half of the sauce because your mouth will feel like it’s on fire
Oh, bro - it is very hot! Habanero inside - does his JOB!! I made that as a soup - and this soup is really HOT!
I love those
I was fine up until I was halfway through and my mouth decided “yk what? I wanna feel pain today” and then every bite after that was actual pain
Pretty much but still delicious
I want to know what peppers they use for it, it is absurdly hot
I like regular spicy foods but like 3/10 spicy, but this thing killed me it was a big mistake but i had to finish it, took me 15 whole minutes i was crying 😭
Ye I had like a weird sort of high from it, managed to do it no drinks but after it just kept building up and up, had to use milk as mouthwash for ten minutes.
I hate it when I eat it but for some reason it's addictive
I really like spicy food, so I had to try those. I bought them in local asian store and my thoughts about them? Man, they sting! They really suprised me. They are tasty, but you cannot even think about thaste because it is spicy as F! But overall nice surprise from Korea :)
chili pepers are suppose to have similar scoville ratings (around 10 000), yet i can eat a peper (with seeds) normally but this thing is just pure pain and agony, but it tastes pretty decent
I am eating buldak while watching this and i am dying my fellas
I love the sweet and super spicy taste to it. Very delicious. I enjoyed it best with a nice cold coka cola.
You made it the wrong way, rinse away the water before you add the sauce. Then you get the real heat 🔥🔥🔥
i am commenting watching your review and i am halfway through eating that one pack. oh, just like you said.i am from india and i have high tolerance on spicy stuff than an average person but this is like fire. lucky i have a glass of cold soft drink with me. sauce is pretty good if it weren't so spicy. one secret to have this thing is thatt dont get much on your lips. wipe it as soon as possible and you will feel less heat
When I tried this noodles ,I couldn't stand the heat and I'm the kind of person that loves spicy noodles .I could barely taste the sweetness of the sauce .I'm surprised he finished it.
So I boiled the noodles took them out onto my plate and then I added the sauce🤦♂️ no wonder I felt these should be illegal my mouth felt like it was on fire 🤣
Ahhhhhh, those noodles! I have a little story to tell about those! Firstly though; if you like high-quality, delicious and still HOT ramen noodles like that, I recommend trying the regular spicy chicken variant also by Samyang. Samyang has a few types of this "series" I'll call it specifically (they are those that have all the same mascot on it, those Buldak ones); there's just regular spicy chicken, there's a variant with Kimchi flavor, a curry variant, a cheese kind somehow; maybe some more even, but those are the ones I have tried. I personally prefer the regular spicy chicken variant; the noodles are excellent and the flavor is great too; it's also definitely spicy hot (at least for "western" tongues like myself). You can also either make those noodles as shown here (with removing almost all the water), or make it the soup kind; either way works very well, even though I feel they are "optimized" to be made in the way where you remove most of the water.
Now, there is someone who had a blog about something entirely different, and who started writing reviews for Asian instant-noodles for fun on the side. I should note that he described himself as someone who very much loves spicy food. Anyhow, the day came where he reviewed these; and oh boy, he wrote that he tried to extinguish the heat with milk, but that the noodles were in fact SO hot that the milk didn't help anymore (apparantly, taking white bread and spreading butter very thickly on it and eating that helped) and he said that although he did eventually finish eating them, that he had to take breaks.
Now, when I read that... I instantly knew. Because I love and respect that guy for his writing. I knew that I had to "best my master" there, so to speak, so I made it my personal challenge to get and eat those noodles, but with the "rules" of not using any milk or anything like that, and eating them in one go, without taking a break. I can also say about myself that I like hot and spicy food definitely more than the average person here. I have at times let other people sample food that I made for myself and the first reaction was that they coughed and their eyes went watery, but not because the taste was just so bad, haha, but because of the heat! With that established, I did manage to complete my "challenge" according to my own rules...
But man, what a road it was. These noodles are definitely beyond my comfort zone, and I had to mention this because my "symptoms" had been basically the same as shown in the video there. A feeling of numbness and tingling on my lips and in my mouth, my fingers shaking, a feeling of dizziness; and of course just the intense burn. These noodles do have a great taste, but after the third bite or so, all of its taste was lost for me. My face was sweating so much that it was literally dripping from my face, and I constantly had to clear my nose. It was really, really intense. Directly afterwards, I just lay down flat in my bed and waited for the feeling to go away (doesn't take long anyhow). But yeah... Phew. It was outright exhausting.
So yes, all in all, unless you have a crazy level of heat resistance, I highly recommend trying the regular Samyang spicy chicken first. They pack quite a good punch, taste great, and for me personally, they have pretty much the ideal level of spicy. Could maybe even have a *slight* bit more; but doubling the level of spice is definitely more than I would ask for if I still want to actually taste my meal X3
I tried a japanese instant fried noodles and it made my atheist self see the holy light and kneel before god
