I have some questions: all the restaurants are included? Do you get drinks served in others pools in order not to be on the one that has the bar inside the water? What time do you get the covid results?
All the restaurants are included, some might require a reservation depending on how busy they are. The main pool has a pool bar and poolside bar. They also have servers going around taking drink orders, and they’re pretty fast as well. The other pool right outside of the exit does not have a pool bar or poolside bar, but it’s not too far from there. I got my Covid results the very next day, they make sure to set you up with plenty of time.

Quick Question.. Was there a duty free shop once you get out of your flight to buy top shelf alcohol for your personal use??

How did you find the hotel? Good rooms and food? Was the beach big enough as we don't fancy getting up at 8am to reserve a bed.
We're going in June, so it could rain, do you know if the TV had English channels or a USB/HDMI you could plug a firestick in and WiFi in the room. If its a rainy day, we may need to use it to pass the time.
I found it by browsing online. Rooms were good, food was decent. The buffet didn’t have a ton of variety, but they have specialty restaurants to switch it up.
Beach is very small, but nobody was every really there. I normally hung out at the pool, but found a chair by the beach anytime I ventured out that way. Didn’t watch any TV while I was there, so not sure of the channel or TV situation.

All in all you liked the place? Looks nice. I just got back from temptations Cancun. It was okay. This riu certainly stands out in comparison to the other resorts around it. Looks stunning from the exterior fascia

@@MrMontiel ahh super cool. I just got back from temptations last week. I liked it. It’s a swingers resort. It’s not really set up for singles however. I had a great time with my two buddies I went with. However there are basically no single people. It’s all couples. Couples wanting to wife swap etc. The daily pool entertainment is hilarious although. It’s all basically naked girls around the party pool during the day. It was fun. Depends what you’re looking for.
I figured it would be mostly couples, I’ll make the best out of it, I travel solo everywhere so it doesn’t bother me. Thanks 🤓

I travel solo. Going to Cancun for my first-ever trip out of the USA in February. I am staying at the Riu Peninsula for 4 days. Whats the difference other than Adults only between Peninsula and this one? I maybe missed it. What room did you have?
I always go for adults only, more of a relaxing vibe without kids running around. That’s my personal opinion. I’ve never stayed at the Peninsula, so can’t compare too much. I had a basic double room with one bed. Didn’t spend much time I the room. Most of my time was spent at the pool and beach. 🤓
can you tell how long the sunlight came to the beach? it looks like its always in the shadow

Since they no longer have the bottles inside the room can they be ordered?

Think of booking either Rui Cancun or Rui Las Americanas. Which one would you say has more of a party vibe?
Sorry for the delay, I’ve never been to RIU Cancun, but RIU Las America’s wasn’t a big party vibe. Very laid back and relaxing. I would imagine RIU Cancun is more of a party resort. I would check if they’re adults only also.

I would say it was average. Not a ton of Clubs or bars inside the actual resort. If you're looking for a party resort, I would try another spot to be honest.

Hi I'm planning a solo trip to Cancun for September and i'm debating between Riu Palace Las america or Peninsula. Any advice I want a mixture or partying and relaxing vibes since I'll be alone. I'm pretty good at meeting new people on solo trips but I just need help debating between the two. Any advice will help thank you in advance!!!
Hi Tiffany, so I’ve never been to the peninsula resort, but was very pleased with Las America’s. I went solo and there was plenty of opportunities to meet to people at the bars, clubs and especially the pool. The pool area was always packed and popping. The nice thing also is the Las Americas is literally right in the center of the “Hotel Zone” in Cancun. So you can venture off to other resorts or the local night life on the strip by foot or short cab ride. I felt safe at all times and had a blast, I’m sure you will also! I think it’s more of a laid back crowd. Not too big of a party scene, but plenty to do. Would say the crowd is more in their 30’s. Thanks for watching!

Great video and so informative ,( that unit in your room is for you to put your luggage on it) ,I know that you could of paid one fraction for the bus if you had taken it,the hotel price even for us South Africans is a bargain all inclusive you said?does that include the extra drinks in the bar fridge in your room?

Going as a group and I'm confused what room to book to not get to beds pushed together, everyone wants a solid king bed, supposed you got one

Hey great video! Did covid impact your experience at all??
Thanks! I was worried about it, but didn’t bother me at all. Masks had to be worn everywhere except when actively eating/drinking or sitting on your lounger. I was most worried about the Covid test coming back, but they scheduled me on site and I took it just before heading to the pool one day. Free and simple! Im going to be going to riu palace too soon that is why i am asking you some questions :) 1. do the drivers wait some time for you after your arrival time to go through customs and get your baggage? 2. very important- i stated my departure time for the flight. how much time do i anticipate that they will arrive early to the resort so i could have enough time to go to through the airport or will this be arranged with the driver during pick up? 3. I'm trying to learn Spanish but I am not fluent, do the drivers/people who work at the resort speak some English? 4. can you swim in the beach or is it flooded with seaweed and are all 3 pools big? 5. is there such a thing as a ''party pool'' because im not really a party person lol
Yep, the shuttle waited for me, there were no issues with waiting. The driver spoke very good English. The beach was clean while I was there, they had someone cleaning the seaweed every morning. They had two pools, one is the “party pool” and they have a quiet pool. The party pool wasn’t too crazy though, I stayed there most of the time and I’m not a party person either. 🤓
Who did you use for shuttle?

If you book directly through RIU, the shuttle is free both ways. Just need to select the service in the checkout process.

I'm going in August.. Can anyone tell me:
1. Ice cubes safe on the resort?
2. Are the liquor dispensers in the room full yet? I like liquor and didn't notice any in the room.
3. Still need masks in the lobby?
1. I had ice cubes the whole trip and had no issues.

We just mistakenly booked this place after seeing reviews. They are clearly bs. This place looks disgusting. Trying to get a refund/transfer to another hotel through an agent. Were supposed to leave in a week and instead of anticipation, the dread is setting in.
