Your point about using a Moog vs using a Maths was really interesting. A fixed subtractive synth vs. a semimodular subtractive synth vs a West Coast synth vs. a versatile set of modules all open up interesting new languages as you learn them, with idioms that don't even make sense in previous languages (or you can dive straight into something with a larger vocabulary right away). Thinking of it in terms of learning -- or discovering -- new languages and new idioms to create new sound possibilities is a really great way of envisioning how to explore new synthesis possibilities without getting held back by your preconceptions.
You explained it much better than I did. Thank you so much for sharing. I got this insight because I had no associations with multi burst envelopes and then I realized there must be tons of modules out there who are amazing, but just don't make sense yet. Like a tool in your toolbox that's super handy, if you only knew its purpose.
Gorgeous, and so informative! This is a totally new conception of the envelope to me, and I'm excited to see if I can use something like this in my setup.
I have a instruo ceis which has cv inputs at each stage of the envelope. I like the features of the ajh burst but wonder if I could get similar results by modulating a stage of the adsr. What do you think?
Bra som vanligt. (Swedish) have no modules yet. And now I can’t afford anything as it is. But my first synth was the micro modular. So it took some time to get just a sound out of it. But it learned the function of how it works. Wanted a sampleslicer diy kit from somewhere, but it’s out of stock. Seems forever. I really want a lot of what you have. I like sounds and everything with that too. Audiophile u might say. Building my own stuff. Great video again =)
Indeed, After Later 'Steps' has a burst generator module, but I feel it's the typical implementation of generating pulses. You'd still need to run them through an envelope generator to make snappy short sounds and another one to make the total burst rise and fall.
Superb video! Creative words, thanks for the education👍🏻. Top of the list module. At 6:48, when incorporating the Optomix, what are you using to trigger the Multi burst? Killer krell patch 🙌🏻
I have to check. I am sure I shot some footage of how it was connected, but forgot to use it. I am pretty sure it's the WoggleBug burst output - which is a completely different burst (only random triggers, no envelopes). I'll let you know if it was something else.
Same here! It's been on my wishlist for a long time but I assumed I had enough envelopes. This is true if you think AD or ADSR. Zadar is much more and now I can understand and appreciate that.
Most excellent. AJH is knocking it out of the park this year with this, and with the Tap Tempo VC-LFO.
Totally agree. I'll definitely check out more AJH modules.

Really enjoyable and your humbly insightful enthusiasm is, in itself, a welcoming envelope. Yum for sure. Awe endure.

Thank you for this. A very creative take on the ajh. cheers!
you got yourself a AJH module. Cool and great tutorial.
I also have a transistor ladder :). I'll definitely check out more modules after this one.
very cool🙃💙thanks for sharing
Can you do something like this with Doepfer A-143-2 and the "End of..." outs?

Love me some Krell. I'm curious how the AJH compares to the likes of the Befaco burst module.
Also Robert have u checked out the new SSF ZEPHYR?????🖐🆒🎶🌟

these last 30 seconds..omg!! yeah
I was 75% sold on this module, now I am 100%
Kool video as always🎶 I have the After Later Bursts module - seems like some overlapping features with this from AJH. Any thoughts on that?

@@CinematicLaboratory I never found the AL that useful.... might consider the AJH 🎶

Robert another prophesy of experimental proportions, Ace👍Luv it Noice but can it do Techno😄😆😎👽🇬🇧🔱🕸⚡️🆒🌟🌟🌟
Think i might finally get me a zadar.

@@CinematicLaboratory Yeah, Zadar is really in it's own league IMHO. It's really a think different module.
