- Wow, what a terrible washing machine in the Maytag Top Load Washer MODEL: MVW5430MW. This is our THIRD machine in 60 days and we have issue after issue. This video is the latest, supposedly in working order, and it is so loud and shakes the house when running a spin cycle. It has woken my kids up and our neighbor has checked in thinking we were having an emergency.
Same washer and it does the same exact thing. Replace the suspension rods and it still does it not only does it make that noise but it doesn’t spin the water out of the Clothes the way it should either. The Maytag repairman that sits around, waiting on the service calls needs to get busy cause I am ready to throw mine out the back door.
my maytag sounded like this about every wash but she lasted from 2015-2023 and she still worked other than her lid breaking off.
try evening the clothes out around edges when you load into washer. works fine for me

Pause it and redistribute the load problem solved. Or sit there and watch the life of your machine chip away..
I don’t think you understand the issue here. This is the third Maytag washing machine that this person has gotten in 60 days. He is recording it to show the decline in quality that Maytag sadly has now.
A good machine just shouldn’t do this, point blank. Opening and redistributing clothes throughout the wash shouldn’t be (and never was) necessary, when washers were made right.
I’ve never seen anything go so far downhill, so fast in technology, as washing machines. 😢

Dude you do realize that this is the third washing machine they got from maytag that has done the exact same thing stop telling them to get another one you don't realize how frustrating and aggravating it is to get a new washing machine and how expensive it is as well stop telling them to get a maytag washing machine you do realize that they are no good and they are worthless as well stop telling this homeowner to get another maytag washer you don't realize what that can actually do it will do the exact same thing as this washer is doing stop telling a homeowner to get a maytag washing machine you don't have any idea that maytag appliances has been failing miserably if they cannot get these problems fixed they should go out of business no washer like that should be doing anything like that or making all that noise repairing it or doing anything to it will not help this situation at all stop telling this homeowner to get a new maytag washing machine it's gonna do the exact same thing as that washer itself 🤦🏽♀️😒
This machine is junk it died 6 months later
Check if your machine is completely level on all three sides. (Set level on front, left and right side and confirm it is COMPLETELY level). If tha5nis your 3rd machine then it is something with leveling/flooring or the way you load laundry. If you aren’t already, load clothes loosely around the center leaving a hollow air hole through the center wide enough that you can see the bottom impeller through the gap.

Then it might not be level or it has a collapsed suspension rod
I own one. Hands down the lowest quality trash appliance I’ve ever owned. Mine is 4 days old. Funny, I’ve never had to stop and redistribute a wet load in any of my other dozen machines over the last 50 years. This brand new junk is going out to my camp.

Same! 2 days old. The entire cycle is so loud and I've had to pause and redistribute every 3rd load.
My Samsung washer does the same thing when off balance. No problem, I pause it and distribute the clothes within the and BINGO solves the problem
No such thing should be necessary with a good washer…. the way washers used to be made.
You threw the clothes in, the agitator beat em’ clean, and def never had to open and rearrange clothing.

A lot of machines now have lid locks that engage on the spin cycle and rinse cycle. They lock the lid and you cannot open it. So opening the lid and redistributing the load is out of the question. My Maytag only allows you to open the lid on the wash cycle.
Just found this video while trying to solve our issues. Wholehearted agree. A real pos. Our main problem is the "press" control panel. Maytag can come pick this up any time and take it far far away.
My 1 year old one goes from sensing to done immediately. 😂 Complete junk!
Same here! It does this with every load.
Either you overloaded it, didn’t balance the clothes when you put them in, or the shocks are indeed bad
Mine has done it since brand new. It even does it on an empty test cycle.

It is set in the happy wife setting.
That’s the black drain pipe in the back banging up against your washer. Use duct tape and tape it to the side of the machine
You are SO RIGHT!!! I moved the hose slightly away from the back of the washer and no noise! Thank you for your advice!
Mine sounded like that and it was the drain tube banging against the wall!
OMG! I just bought the same one and it IS loud! I wish I had known prior to purchasing mine. My sister’s LG and my daughter’s Samsung are SO much quieter. Maytags do seem to last longer than others though (my reason for purchasing). I guess this is the trade off.

Are you sure your clothes are even? If you lay them in there evenly may not happen..idk..just a thought..or maybe washer just sucks

I had something like that before the hose in the back busted open when draining the water and it would constantly leak and cause other problems as well i got rid of mines in 2018 because of the plumbing issues it was having and how it constantly leaked so much as well and made a lot of noises too and caused more issues i will not get anything like that again
Whirlpool is bad too mine would vibrate so bad it'd start walking across the floor.
That is the replacement of the mvwx655dw but they took away the dispenser drawer which I am angry about and they still haven’t brought the spin speed option back yet…

Should of got a GE or next washer get a GE that if you are on a budget. If you are not on a budget then get a speed queen/huebsch.
What happened - the whole industry of washing machine development is such a failure.
What is a NEW old fashioned fast, agitating to clean your clothes, enough water to rinse your wash and rinse your clothes - anyone???
I know Whirlpool, Kenmore, and Maytag are all made by the same manufacture.

It’s a trash Whirlpool/Maytag/Kenmore. Piss poor drum suspension system. Mine did it since the very first small load.

It is trash. Mine is 4 days old and every bit as lopsided and noisy as the one in the video. Goddamn embarrassing.
Sounds like you just got a dud I love mine and I barely see them in the shop, I think it's a pretty good appliance
@@AnthonyJohnson-yw8of Just came back from where I bought it. They have four returns in the back for this same issue. This POS is going into one of my rent houses. Bought another Samsung since all of my others have been very quiet and smooth with no issues, at least none over the past 12 years. Installed it and guess what? Smooth and quiet. Amazing.

Mine does the same thing Maytag MVW4505MW I bought it in June of 2024 and only used it once. They sent a repair man and he said it was normal and non returnable. WARNING IF YOU BUY YOU ARE STUCK WITH IT !

I have this trash Whirlpool/Maytag. It uses a piss poor suspension rod system for the drum. Mine is just as bad since new. Also it is hands down the loudest machine I’ve ever owned. It’s going out to the camp. Waste of $690.

put a block of wood between it and the wall to press on the unit. My Amana did the same thing. But this also seems to be hitting the inside, so nt sure
I have the 5035 and it just randomly stopped working. Has power, the lights come on when I unplug it and re-plug it in, but pushing the buttons and turning the knobs does nothing. Three months old.
Mine started doing that today. Did they ever fix yours?

You did not even pull the sticker off !!! Watch for your draining hose behind that’s where the noise is coming !!!
It’s either something hitting it in the back or you just need to fix the load otherwise level it and then run a spin cycle with nothing in it.

I bought this model to replace a basic stop and go Kenmore that was about 6 years old. They are identical underneath. Junk.
Theyre all shitty now sad, I actually just returned a Whirlpool and exchanged for this one instead, all of the new washers get terrible reviews now so its like pick your poison.

Theres a problem on suspension rod.
Springs are shot, but weird if it’s a new washer 🤔 It has the largest capacity of any residential washer, so it’s still hard to beat, even with its headaches.

I can't believe Whirlpool is still doubling down on this junk and making that awful '2in1' agitator garbage. The only half decent machines they are making are the commercial lines and they are a little harder to come by but you can get them.
Don’t buy this washer! I’ve had problems since day one! Store won’t make it right.

Definitely the most I’ve paid for a terrible washing machine. I’m very disappointed with this Maytag product.
More than likely, there are too many clothes in the washer. And they were not distributed correctly when you loaded it. Read the damn instructions. I have the same washer with a family of 5. Its works.
