    I made this with the turquoise and also a terracotta colour accented with nickel tilas. These would have to be my favourite bracelets. Thanks very much for sharing. I had a lot of fun making them.

    Hi! I am SO glad that you like the tutorials, I very much enjoy making them. Thank you for the compliment! We sell all the supplies you see in the videos and have frequent sales and free shipping on orders over $25. There are many different "levels" of beading supplies and I would suggest starting with the less expensive ones for sure. This is what I did and then once I figured out which types of beading techniques I was really passionate about, then I bought the more expensive stuff.

    If you are primarily just interested in bead weaving, all you need is a needle and a pair of scissors! Good luck and have fun! Always feel free to send us questions if you get stuck.

    @Beadaholique I have also taken picture frames, removed the glass and then put a fabric insert into the frame. Then I hang from the frame on the wall and pin my jewelry onto the fabric. It is almost like my jewelry becomes art work and then I can easily see what I have and take it off to wear it.

    I cant wait to try this, thank you for the tut! I kept giggling every time tila was said, I haven't heard anyone call them teela beads, I have only heard tilea as in tile shaped tila beads. Lol thanks again.

    @jadedfaith777 HI! Thank you for the compliment. I do a bunch of different things with my creations. I sell them for one thing, which means they are out of my house and I also give away a lot as gifts. For the ones I keep, I have an antique wood tool chest with shallow drawers that I store my pieces in. It holds a lot, allows me to see what I have, and does not take up a lot of room.

    Here are some ideas: start with Craft Wire instead of precious metals, start with Toho beads instead of Miyuki beads, go with Czech Crystal and also stick to plated beads to begin with vs. sterling silver. There are some great inexpensive tools on the website, here are the 4 tools you will most likely need to start: chain nose pliers, round nose pliers, wire cutters, and crimping pliers.

    If you are using Swarovski 3mm pearls that substitution should work fine, however natural 3mm pearls might have too small of a hole to pass your needle through several times.

    This is abeautiful design. I haven't used tila beads before so can you tell me roughly how many I will need of each colour to make an average size bracelet?

    I really like your videos. You have amazing ideas and techniques. I find though, that after making jewelry, I have no room for it/don't get around to wearing it, so the clutter somewhat impedes on my output almost to a standstill. Any advice? What do you do with your creations?

    Hello. Love the bracelet. I was wondering, if you could make the bracelet just excluding the 15/0 on top of the tila's. Seems like it wouldn't be a problem in theory but I don't know if it is maybe necessary for strength or something. Thank you for the tutorial.

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  10 лет назад

      I am so glad you like the tutorial. You should be fine to remove the 15/0's at the top of the bracelet, they are there for decoration.

    Do you have an earring set that would go with this, or necklace? I just finished the bracelet in turquoise and burnished gold and love it! The bicones are also a turquoise/gold ab stone. Beautiful!

      @beadaholique  8 лет назад

      +Mary Cheney I am so glad you like this project, it is one of my favorites too. I don't have a matching pair of earrings or necklace designed, but this projects done with the matching bicones could be really pretty: www.beadaholique.com/t-ba-project-E1026.aspx. I would also consider taking a long length of chain (maybe 36 inches) and finding a simple yet pretty focal to hang from it that would complement the bracelet. Then you can create little bicone dangles to hang from the chain. That could be really pretty. Just a few ideas...

    Julie, is there another option for the clasp? I have a four strand clasp but it is not the one that you are using and the holes do not line up as well. What would I be able to replace the clasp with?

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  10 лет назад

      Hi! You can definitely use a different clasp but you might need to do a little extra work around the edges to make it "fit". I would suggest lining up the clasp where you would ideally want it to sit on the bracelet and then just add seed bead "bridges" exiting the tila beads and other beads so that you can attach the clasp where you desire and make it "fit" and stable. Just about any clasp should work with this method - just note that it will probably not have as flush of a look as the clasp in the video.

    how do you figure out amount of tila beads needed, do you just measure the bead or temporarily lay pattern. I have some tilas but afraid not near enough for pattern you have done in this tutorial

    • @beadaholique
      @beadaholique  9 лет назад

      Hi, Here is the actual ingredient list for this project: www.beadaholique.com/t-ba-project-B631.aspx. If requires 96 tilas for the middle color and 64 for the outside color. If you wanted to test it out at home, I would suggest weaving 1 inch worth of the pattern, counting the number of tilas used, and then multiplying that number by however many inches you want your bracelet to be.
