I am also using a small drone (SJRC F22) to cast my lure. We almost have the same plastic hook, except mine is under the belly. I would recommend you to attach the ring near the sinker so when you fly it out, the sinker won't wobble that much. Good luck and tight lines.
@@Tubefisher it is prohibited to fly drone here in Qatar, so I use mine whenever I am home. I will be on vacation this July and I will make sure to upload some videos of how I do my set up.
@@curiosityfuels661 modified a key holder that you mount on walls. Needed to trim some pieces of the base so it does not cover the entire cooling vents.
That’s exactly what I commented. That way it would create some resistance. The ring would be pushed up against the drone. Then just turned it around, close the bail, and boom it’s dropped
Cover the hook in flex seal, should give the ring enough grip to hold on when you leave. Then just go backwards and forwards until the hook comes off when you want to release.
I got same landing gear, i just use that. Leave one leg folded and loop around that, fly the drone out straight then turn it parallel to beach then pull line a lil.
you can buy a small light bait release for next to nothing. The cheap ones are good for 400metres remote release. There are also way cheaper options then the mini 3 pro which will work just as well @ a 10th of the cost. Thanks for your video
Fly it with the.ring in the front.of the drone.. Once you get out there, turn the drone around and it will drop off instantly .. good first effort tho buddy
It would have worked if he turned the drone around and had the ring facing away from him. That way there would be some resistance with the ring up against the drone. Then, when you’re ready to drop, you just turn the drone around to have the ring facing you and it will just slide right off. It’s not rocket science. Just common sense.
Best time to drone fish with this set up is of course light wind. This dji drone is not waterproof so dont fly if the wind is over 20-30kph. Per my experience incoming tide is best and use light baits.you need to consider your drone’s weight capacity.
Gannet violates the KISS rule. Keep it simple stupid. You don't need a release mechanism. Pulling the line does that with no moving parts or batteries. I like his installation. He just flew it wrong. He should have flown out to sea in reverse. Camera facing the shoreline. Its not the way most people do it but it will work. Since he can fly in reverse he could use his camera to see how far he was from shore as he flies should he want to. Once he decides he is far enough out he just needs to do a 180 and face the drone away from shore, and the bait will fall into the water pretty much on its own. People have been doing it similarly to this for years now. No mechanical dropper has ever been needed to drop a fishing line with a drone. KISS.
Yes mate just be careful with lures as it may cause tangles with the drone props and your line. The issue with lures is that you will need to do this many times as you may not get bites in your first go. It will be good to try it with lures, good idea thanks for sharing!
Weren't you supposed to place the hook in the front, so that it can only be dropped after you 180 the drone and pull. Or if in the back then let it 180 and reverse it's way to the drop location.

Bro I love this idea. You area a legend 🍺🍺🍺
Thank you bro..
Just fly backwards then turn it around 180 when you are where you want it to be and pull the slack
Yes i will try that mate thanks!
You could use that same hook, as is, and just fly out backwards. Then fly forward (or return) to release bait.
Yup I’ll try that, thanks for watching!
I thought the same...

What if you fly the drone out backwards and turn around when you are ready to drop? That way the drop should not happen premature.
Have tried it mate it is good thanks for your comment. However sometimes in my spots there are so many birds that could potentially hit my line. 😊
Another nice video to watch Mr Juan.🙋♂️
🎉thanks Bruno I’m glad you liked the new episode.

Thanks mate good idea!
Turn the drone around and fly it out backwards, then when you reach your mark, then spin it around and fly forward for it to release.
It worked too thank you so much!

thanks for the comment mate! Would not cause any drone imbalance?
@Relaxationandadventures i only use on calmer days but i havent had any issues like that even with heavier gear for tuna

which drone are you using ?
Great idea. Those load release accessories aren't too bad and are about $30-50
Thanks mate and I believe they have limited distance and needs a remote control?
That was 2 fail premature bait drops. I don't think that is effective?
Thanks for your comment do you have any idea bro?maybe you can share it.

Hi there im looking to buy one off these drones how far are you dropping 2 baits?? 100m? 200m? 300m?
Hi mate depending on the wind speed, weight of bait. I usually go 150m to 200m.

When ur sinker is down low do you feel the drone sway left to right
The longer the line for your rig the less sway mate.
hi , where do u buy the drone??
I got it from jb hifi bro.. Australia

NEVER START OR LAND YOUR DRONE IN SUCH FINE GRAINED SAND !!
Your gimbal will get stuck and stop working.
Thanks for the tip mate, you are right sand can damage the props. I have a helipad which I didn’t use that time. Thanks for watching!
Need to see the results mate, any fish caught with the drone? Also how many meters you drop the bait?
