That was HOTTTTT!!!!! In all my years of being a band mom, dance team mom, football mom, booster vp, etc......I have never seen the girls interact with the drum majors in this way. I LOVED IT!!! It freaking gave me goosebumps. That routine was a "10". It reminded me so much of when my kids were in school...WOW. The sound was amazing, the dancers killed it and the drum majors were "all that". KUDOS for real!!!!

Bitch Pudding You can think the band sucks that’s fine. But calling teenagers sluts and “ future baby mommas” because of their outfits and dancing? Sounds a lot like hating “boo boo”. Not to mention you’re just perpetuating a stereotype about black women as “baby mommas”, and if you don’t see that... regardless I wish you the best. And don’t come at me with “but I’m a black woman too”, doesn’t mean you can’t still promote a negative stereotype about your own people.

When I was in high school I couldn't even come close to the discipline these drum majors have. These guys are role models
I think all of the attention that this drum major and band have gotten has been good for them. Every aspect of the drum majors, dancers, color guard, drum line and band has been improving with every new video.
Markus Hayden Sutherland all the attention Justin the lead best drum major had gotten once he leaves this band is going to fade away again
2023 and Jefferson Davis High School band is still Amazing (and not fading away hater)!💯💖

WOW!! EVEN WHILE BEING ON MY COLLEGE DANCE TEAM IN 1997, THERE WAS NO WAY WE WOULD OF GOTTEN THAT CLOSE TO THE DRUM MAJORS. THIS PERFORMANCE WAS AWESOME!! 🙌🏽

My fave routine of all of them. Love that they bring the dancers up front. They all do their own thing, same moves as before, but it all looks so cool when you bring them together like that. Haven’t seen another band - high school or university - that does this. Hope they do more.
The inspiration came from Jackson State marching back into the stands at the BoomBox Classic game. We wanted to incorporate an original parade routine similar to how they did it, but unique to JD. So we did

I never post, but I love this. I haven't seen another school with this unique march in well over 30 years. This was the signature march of Westwood High School in Memphis, TN. They performed in various parades throughout the South, but I know they attended training camp every year with Jackson State. So, the march is likely a JSU original. In any case, this band was awesome.
