Accountants are being de-skilled, cloud accounting takes a lot of experience away too.
In the UK the tax system for unincorporated businesses is being changed to cash basis, so that cloud accounting can produce the accounts for tax without an accountant.
Thank goodness I'm soon to retire.
I started out in the era of punch cards in computing, so small business accounts were prepared by clerks from the basis documents.
