Greg, you seem settled, and enjoying your surroundings, that is so important. I live in Brisbane and love it, one reason I enjoy it so much is the bike paths. So good to be away from the traffic enjoying the beautiful Queensland weather. I'm sure Gold Coast would have great riding too. On another note, I am going to India in December. I am gonna watch your India clips now.

Maybe I'm just a sucker but I've been doing it for just over 7 years now and I just can't hack it anymore. I'm in a terrible industry that automatically means customers talk to me like I'm trash and I don't get paid anywhere near enough to have a much stress as I do. I end up working overtime, taking it home with me, going in at weekends. It's not worth it anymore. I have noticed in recent months your videos have changed. You seem more content and a little happier. I think I'm just going to have to take the plunge and jack it in. There is no sane reason to carry on loathing a massive portion of your daily life. It's insanity!

I am in a job that I have done for 22 years now and stuck as I too have a mortgage here in Sydney...Needles to say I am not as close to the beach as you maybe 5 mins in the car. But needles to say my mortgage here in RIPOFF Sydney would far exceed yours mate. All that being said...I do envy you to certain degree Grego. I hope you are still having fun doing your cooking vids and they have not become a chore...I look forward to them 3 times a week as most do. After working as a tube train driver in London for 24 years I too had enough , I then thought that's me done with this job . I'm lucky I do have a great partner to spare and share great time . I'm like you about cars, as long as it runs I don't know or think much about it. The only stuff I do myself is gas and every few monthes I put some stuff in the tank and engine to clean the inside and prevent carbon build up.

Getting rid of a friggin townhouse in Nerang QLD was the best decision I ever made a few years ago. It was a joke paying for body corp, water, rates, mortgage, and maintenance. Rent didn't cover anything. I'd say rent until you're a millionaire, then buy property.
You made the right choice...always follow your gut instinct...and you did. Your too genuine to do all that pretending...... I think living by the water is ideal. You can build a new life...your young...healthy. Can’t fit a square peg into a round hole!
I see in the background of your cooking channel you've got a nice little unit somewhere near the water.... that's awesome mate. I'm sure you remember the little house we had at Boondall, we sold that and got a property on a canal on the north coast, just about dollar for dollar...
