Totally agree coming from metal you must do Bury a Friend and then All good girls go to Hell in that order. The songs are not related but the videos are somewhat related. If you really want to see what Billie can do with vocals a good start would be When The Party's Over and the video is very fantastic. I'm just an old lady rocker I'm 50 almost for crying out loud but I love this girl. She does every type of music but unlike anyone else and she is super artistic and creative.
I'm an older guy, 67, and I can't get too much of Billie (and FINNEAS). From "Ocean Eyes" to "Bury A Friend" - that's versatility!

she's 19 she was 17 when the song come out and it hit number 1 in 36 countries and she was the youngest artist it win album of the year record of the year pop album and best new artist at the Grammys and in total her and her brother have won over 15 grammys
Fellow metalhead here...who over the last year has come to truly appreciate Bally Eyelash. Honestly, I joke, but once I saw a few interviews and heard her backstory/musical family background I realized how much this lil girl rocks.
What makes this whole album special, is that it was written by Billie and his brother Finneas O’Connell, and recorded is her brothers bedroom studio. She’s the real deal and It will be interesting to follow her career and hear how she will mature as songwriter and musician.
I’m 44 years old and I’m a HUGE Billie fan. Not ashamed to admit it. I even have a decal on my car. 🤷🏻♂️
I think it was this album won her and her brother like 18 Grammys or something ridiculous. I love hard rock but appreciate both of their talents. He also has his own songs and the voice of a damned angel.

The bit you thought was from Crash Bandicoot is actually from the theme song to Wizards of Waverly Place and the sound a crossing light in Australia makes that they recorded on their cell phone.
The end bit of the song was written a year or something before the rest of the song. The base sounds kind of weird because Billie originally recored it in her room and her speakers were rattling on the shelves. Her brother, who does all of her production, digitally recreated the sound.

I love nightwish and metal music but I also really like most of Billie Eilish’ songs, she had some really dark ones also. Try ‘bury a friend’ or ‘you should see me in a crown’ or ‘when the party’s over’

Great reaction! You should check out ‘You should see me in a crown - vertical video’ and ‘bury a friend - official video’. Her and her brother do write together, this song isn’t really how Billie sees herself, she wanted to write a song about this persona of the bad guy.

Hi: Billie was 17 when she did "Bad Guy" and she co-wrote it with FINNEAS (her brother) - you haven't gotten back to Billie - but if I did what you did, reacting to music videos - where do you begin - there's so many! As someone below suggested "Bury A Friend" the official Music Video would be a great choice - I don't think you would get bored - if you wanted to see her in action live, why not try Billie singing at the Brit AWARDS (Feb. 2020) doing "No Time to Die" for the James Bond movie (same title) coming in Oct. 2021, for which she and FINNEAS received a GRAMMY this year (2021). Oh, Rolling Stone did an interview with Billie and FINNEAS in their home, "Billie Eilish and FINNEAS break down her hit song 'Bad Guy'" ( Dec. 16, 2019 ) they tell us where some of the odd sounds are from - 2 gifted young people at work having fun!

The reason for the lyrics and the theme of the song is making fun of guys who say they are tough and rough and are the bad guys.... She's mocking them... And I don't know why that "she's the new goth" comment bothers me bc as a goth I can't tell if it's true or not... ahaha! But I will take it! Maybe it's why I love this song so much and some of her other work...?

I grew up on classic rock and metal, and I'm old enough that I probably have shit in my fridge older than you guys. With that said, this kid can ROCK. Wanna see Billie doing some serious hardcore 1990's industrial rock? Watch the vertical video for "You Should See Me in a Crown".
She releases more musical genres than anyone on the pop charts today. She's got jazz, rock, pop, blues, motown, and other standards that seem to span nearly a hundred years of musical styles. Songs like "Xanny" or "Bitches Broken Hearts" would fit right in if she were performing in a smoke filled 1940's jazz lounge.

Billie has created her own genre and people are here for it. This song is completely different from the rest of her music. She's never predictable.
Is she writes most of her own music some of it is a collab between her and her brother. They've produced 95% of her music in a bedroom in their house. She started around 14 she's roughly 17 in this video. Her brother Phineas also writes and produces his own music.

This was the first time ever I heard a Billie Eilish song! It was really interesting. I can't yet say is it my kind of music. But I have listened for example Depeche mode, so I don't know, maybe. (At the moment I listen mainly symphonic metal, power metal and Whitney Houston - I know, very common combination. 😁)
I’m guessing I’m the same age as you guys (if not older). She’s not as young as you think (17 or 18 here). As a longtime metalhead, Billie is probably the most metal artist who isn’t metal that gets played on the radio. She truly embodies the metal mentality. I’d argue this isn’t the best intro to her. Try “Bury a Friend” or “All the Good Girls Go to Hell”. Both official music videos. She’s fantastic. Last year, I had tickets to see Rage Against the Machine, Suicide Silence, Jinjer, Poppy, Gojira, Deftones....and Billie. She’s worth checking out.

You guys did great, and really had nothing bad to say. This song absolutely doesn’t show off her vocal range and I don’t actually think it’s a good intro for people who don’t like this genre. For vocals listen to No Time To Die, and for something more your speed do Bury a Friend. And then just for my own enjoyment do the live acoustic of Copycat 😊

Trust me, i'm not fan of hers but this song is and was one of those "pop" hits but her career seems to be long lasting that she's put out a few "albums" that they like.
