Double handed backhands from 0:16 & Single handed backhands from 29:30. 💬Comment whose backhand you like the best or if there's anyone you're trying to emulate in your technique! Things to notice: Not only can we see the little differences each player has in their swing, but we can also see some fundamental "non-negotiable" elements each player has including: Their split step timing, initial shoulder turn, weight transfer from outside leg to inside leg, swinging from low to high through the contact point, head still at contact & following through with hands around shoulder height. Also notice the different footwork placement on deep and short incoming balls as well as on the double vs single handed backhand. Thanks Liam, this is great work and video putting all this together. Grigor and Stephanos have insane one back handed power, at least in practice. Cheers! M
Rafa’s ball striking looks a level above everyone else’s from the 2 handers. He just looks so solid and stable when he hits the ball. That’s not to say it’s the most effective. It just looks way better than anyone else’s.
Because he’s born as righty for his daily life. He brushes his teeth, plays darts, all by his right hand. So it’s not lefty backhand. It’s double handed forehand for righty people in my opinion.
Definitely a taste thing. To me it looks like he's muscling the ball, whereas Murray/Monfils (very similar) and Djokovic/Nishikori (also similar) are impeccably smooth. Notable mention to Korda too.
Love these. Great to have such consistent courts/angles and lighting. Where’s did you get all these? Love the one hander section. And wonder how much it changes for match play. Vs practice hitting.
how old was Carlos here? i now noticed that he likes to get Rublev as his practice partner. view the other 'Carlos Alcaraz baseline practice' videos.. most are with Rublev

He makes the shortest movement possible. Looks like he is ready to hit the next shot right away.

Wrong grip for righty two handed forehand.

Love these. Would also be awesome to see swing volleys at court level slow motion
Dimitrovs backhand is my favourite by far. Looks so smooth

Please, Jennifer Brady's slow motion and Madison Key's serve. Thank you for considering my request.
