Another quality deep dive from you Lyd! Not afraid of that bone-chilling cold either to get some ASMR crunches and camera-to-glass action! Your videos are a pleasant, quiet joy when I need them most. Niles seems like high retail, as you said, and those areas tend to have higher turnover of the small businesses there, plus the economy is struggling which makes that situation worse I would imagine. In any case, thanks for making something so ordinarily mundane (abandoned places and exploring them) into something innovative, creative and cute!
That really is great work in regards to the painting. It was so life like!! 🤗 As far as the filming of the blighted areas in Niles, i think i speak for everyone on the channel when i say that we love watching your videos because we know that you really care about filming them. Your passion is contagious and even if you start doing painting videos, you'll always be know for this genre of closed retail. I hope that never changes.
The socio-economic factors that cause these functional spaces to be abandoned is fascinating too me and I appreciate when you give commentary on it. Definitely adds a layer to you presentations.
That bank was originally First Federal of Warren. From there the name changed A LOT as banks kept merging-selling. After First Federal of Warren it became...First Place, Talmer, Chemical, TCF, and then closed. I may have missed one LOL. Nice job with the vids Lyd.
With the economy being what it has been the last four years failed banks and bank reorganizations, consolidations (fewer branches) and mergers and buyouts closed locations are more and more common. I'm on the Gulf Coast near the AL/FL state line and within a few miles of me there are 4 or 5 bank branch locations that went out. Of those one was reopened as a different bank and two of the others are now title loan places. So there's hope that something will move in there. 👍

Cool painting Lyd. Cats are my spirit animals. This may sound odd but your kitty picture kind of resembles you if you were a cat. 😅
Kinda cool to see an abandoned bank, nice work!
Don't no why but I find bank architecture to be interesting. Thanks for the video. I wish I was painter, maybe when I have more time.
loving your videos thanks for sharing

That old bank would be a great HQ for, Lyd Wetzel Entertainment and Art Gallery, LLC.
You must be dedicated to go explore a closed bank building in the snow and cold!! ❤ 💕👸🥰🌹😚☕😍 Thank you Ms Lyd ❤

I was wondering what happened to the video? Nice cat painting btw? 👍
RUclips processed the original video by cutting off about 7 minutes of it.. very wierd, had to reupload
@ Yeah I commented that it was missing. 👍
The boarded up area was likely the drive up ATM.
that or the night deposit box
Yeah i was pretty sure that's where the ATM was located too. Good eye!
