I believe they made this to ensure that healthy survivors can’t accidentally go down immediately by getting hit twice in a row in a single puke. Her purge line hitbox consists of many smaller pieces that follow each other in a pattern that she creates which they explained long time ago. It means that if survivors didn’t have this window of invulnerability after the first hit, they could instantly get hit by the next upcoming piece of vomit that goes after it in the single long line of projectiles. So I believe this invulnerability lasts for as long as the fully charged purge puke lasts.

Red puke Plague can re-puke so fast that she kind of needs this limitation, otherwise you could get downs almost instantly. Should be better indicated though, like a white outline for the i-frames.

I imagine people do a z-snap to themselves after they hit "send".
it would be fine if we had some kind of indication of said s, that way Plague doesn't need her timing nerfed and can still puke on other survivors as quick
tbh if she could down people so quickly she'd be extremely strong without much (if any) counterplay in response to a mechanic like that. she already has little to no limitations when using her corrupt vomit being a long-lasting fast moving hitbox that you can move freely around you while casting.
It is a feature because if not, plague could hit twice with the same puke, and that's where the problem is. Could they implement a way that is not time-based and distinguishes between the first and the second puke? Yes, but that would take the devs quite the effort for a simple thing that is not that big of a deal, since the time-based is probably taking into consideration the longest puke you can make so you can't take it away, BUT you need to make it so it ignores this fact if it is a second puke, resulting in a spaguetti code that could lead to more troubles and bugs.
What they could do to fix this is give each corrupt purge stream incremental ID that is shared among all puke projectiles and make it so that if they were hit by a projectile with specific ID, they cannot be hit by another projectile with the same ID. This way there'd be no issue with cooldown making survivors immune between quick purges.
I mean frankly it would be a little absurd to go from healthy to downed just because you made a mistake as small as dropping a pallet at the wrong time I could understand literally any mistake that sets the killer up for a wombo-combo but for the first time in eons I can see BHVR's reasoning here (and not have any problems with it lol)
I think it's important to remember that multiple mistakes must have already been made to get to the situation of a corrupt plague being on top of you, excluding apples or first fountain. Although i don't think i quite understand what you mean, dropping a pallet in chase and not getting a stun does usually mean 1 hit from the plague, but why would this change make it 2? The situation in the video would have resulted in a down with other killers for example huntress if the first hatchet was before the pallet drop, or trickster if the first damage state was before the drop
Yeah, but those multiple mistakes are spread across the entire survivor team and may not be exclusively the fault of the individual player. Their individual mistake may result in a lesser disadvantage without those team-based mistakes, as is the nature of Plague’s power. While other killers have the ability to down a survivor from healthy from the same mistake, it still requires timing and/or setup. Plague’s ability is designed such that without i-frames in place, it doesn’t require much (or any of all) a timing or setup requirement compared to Huntress, Trickster, Deathslinger, etc., thus making Plague’s (upgraded) power a little too good for the situation.

This is not that big of a problem for plague, the real problem she has is hit confirmation, i've hit and been hitted the characters scream as if infectect and they stay clean
"Is it really fine tho?" Uhhhh yeah? Your killer has long range + addons to immediatly have it ready to trow. Huntress may need actual recharge but Plague does it faster + survivors grants him the recharge + she gets notification when a survivor uses a fountain + spread while shooting
It's not good game design what solution BHVR took on Plague here because the killer gets bad feedback and feels cheated out of hits. They need to give better feedback on hits like this to at least show that the survivor is invincible during this time.
Hm they probably did this to Pyramid Head too. You used to be able to hit with his punishment and great knife to get a insta down on a healthy survivor.
"is it really fine tho?" My brother in Christ you can literally end a person and that shit has jackshit for cool down. That entire character isn't fine

i mean in theorie Nemsis can also hit that fast back to back with a zombi but do they have s or will they go down instandly ? if this is a inconsistance comapred to nemsis i would say this is 100% either nemsis or plague is not intended to work this way
iirc this a feature to stop the puke from double hitting it needs the s otherwise every time any puke connects it will be a hit meaning you would get instadowned by it
Bruh plague needs nerf I don’t understand why they haven’t nerfed her yet. Her corrupt purge should not be an instant damage, instead if you hit survivors it goes up to a certain point, then they’ll be damaged or downed. If they do this make the bar not too much to fill.
Honestly I would be even more worried facing a Plague that can down survivors faster than double Huntress hatchet. I can't think of any killer atm who doesn't take 2 seconds for a follow-up.
It's probably good for the sake of game health that there is a minimum time between hits in general. It's just weird on Plague because you also don't want a weird long gap in her power usage. I think the ways they could change this would either be to not allow you to feather her purge or to have the damage build up over time kinda like Trickster's knives. Not being able to change how much you use her power would be terrible and with how finicky her ranged hit box is I think building the damage over time would also be terrible. It not might be perfect but I think not being able to do those uncommon chances to double tap survivors isn't terrible considering the overall use of the power.
TBH it should be like trickster's knives then, where you have to land a bit more corrupt purge to build up the "hit". One drop isn't going to damage a survivor outright. The only problem this introduces is that on a "full" corrupt purge, that if you land the entire steam on someone, that they could get one shot by it.
@@justmonika2345 Right now you can do a quick double tap which would be easier than landing a full purge on the survivor. At least any survivor that remotely knows what they are doing.
I think it's acceptable not to down a survivor in that quick of a pace, yes you earned it and I'd like to see it removed, on the other hand if you're not in a 4 stack you can't coordinate how you want to strategize how to deal with the plague, since it can take only one stranger to futz up the whole plan. Somebody cleansing all game and forcing you into a position where you have to can be irritating when the corrupt purge has that much power potential behind it.
I love that people are crying about how this is stupid. If plague could down you that fast everyone would be crying about that as well. The devs clearly put this in so it was more fair but everyone is just saying “what if you did it like this”. This community is really just ridiculous at times.

also I think plague has such high health state per second in power that maybe it's not that big of a deal? I agree it feels crappy to watch the projectile fly through them but no one wants to get double tapped in less than 2 seconds
"but no one wants to get double tapped in less than 2 second" - just play better, duh, if survivors can say it, so can killers😁
It may not be a BIG deal, but an infuriating one.
I had survivors get away with shit so stupid you wouldn’t believe me if I told you - all because of this i-frame.
Otz your face in the thumbnail made me laugh 🤭
Long tall Sally she's built for speed she got everything that uncle John need oh baby
Yes its fine, the barf is very quick after all and plauge is an amazing killer already.
Imo it's fine, she's already too oppressive.
on one hand it allows you quickly to target someone else, on other hand it is not intuitive
I think it’s fine balance wise, it just is frustrating visually. If survivors had a little glow for as long as they are immune to the puke, similar to how metal of man works, to indicate they are immune it would be fine imo.
You can use the "feature" with Wesker too.
Artist also has this "feature" with her birds :)
And it's fine for her as well. Artist and Plague are A+ killers, they don't need machine gun hits.
This is not that big of a problem for plague, the real problem she has is hit confirmation, i've hit and been hitted the characters scream as if infectect and they stay clean
Dedicated servers. We love that
"Is it really fine tho?" Uhhhh yeah? Your killer has long range + addons to immediatly have it ready to trow. Huntress may need actual recharge but Plague does it faster + survivors grants him the recharge + she gets notification when a survivor uses a fountain + spread while shooting
Terminal case of "not understaning what good game design is" right there
@@Archimedes.5000Right cause I’m sure this is detrimental to plagues balance
@@EggNog5708if only "balance" solved all design issues lmao
It's not good game design what solution BHVR took on Plague here because the killer gets bad feedback and feels cheated out of hits. They need to give better feedback on hits like this to at least show that the survivor is invincible during this time.
Hm they probably did this to Pyramid Head too. You used to be able to hit with his punishment and great knife to get a insta down on a healthy survivor.
She's not stronger than Nurse, so of course it's not fine.
Nice gumball machine
"is it really fine tho?" My brother in Christ you can literally end a person and that shit has jackshit for cool down. That entire character isn't fine
i mean you can literally down them 1 second after anyways its not like a swing either you just throw up on them
Idk I think it's fine since she's so deadly in power... It would be nice to have some kind of indication tho
i think ots absolutely fine? plague just haplens to be able to hit ridiculously fast with puke. When theyre hit theyre invincible for a few seconds and can go thru the killer. Its meant to be like that. Otherwise kt would be absurd and nobody wojld want to play against plague
Should lose the I-Frames dropping a pallet imo. Run the same scenario as Huntress and the survivor is down the moment the pallet gets dropped.
Survivors have what from the first attack?
Meanwhile Knight can get 2 hits 200ms apart
Your fault for getting pincered
@@Josie.770 oh, no, I'm saying this as a Knight main. It's very funny, but kinda bs
@@miceatah9359 well, if the guard forces them to drop down from somewhere, it happens most of the time (provided I'm at the bottom waiting for them)
@@welshcrusade1562 but then you don't get "two hits 200m apart", you get one hit.
@@one_vegan_boi1097 what, no u mean, the guard hits, then you do. It still counts as two hits that you accomplished
i mean in theorie Nemsis can also hit that fast back to back with a zombi but do they have s or will they go down instandly ?
if this is a inconsistance comapred to nemsis i would say this is 100% either nemsis or plague is not intended to work this way
zombies and nemi count as indiividual hits seperated from each other, so no, the s dont affect nemi
what's faster, STBL 8 stacks or vial purge?
Artist has it tooa
WHY not just make it so the next time plague can fire puke after hit is at the same time survivors lose i-frames
iirc this a feature to stop the puke from double hitting it needs the s otherwise every time any puke connects it will be a hit meaning you would get instadowned by it
Not even the featured killer Knight has that feature.
Bruh plague needs nerf I don’t understand why they haven’t nerfed her yet. Her corrupt purge should not be an instant damage, instead if you hit survivors it goes up to a certain point, then they’ll be damaged or downed. If they do this make the bar not too much to fill.
Nice try with the bait but could you be less obvious next time
Last time I was this early it was still someone elses channel
As you do just fine with this feature either way lmao
I think it's acceptable not to down a survivor in that quick of a pace, yes you earned it and I'd like to see it removed, on the other hand if you're not in a 4 stack you can't coordinate how you want to strategize how to deal with the plague, since it can take only one stranger to futz up the whole plan. Somebody cleansing all game and forcing you into a position where you have to can be irritating when the corrupt purge has that much power potential behind it.
How do i make the red scartch marks as bright as in your video?

Im not on the pc now, is it an option in game, or outside software?
Yes, it is fine. Why should she be able to ignore the s?
It’s definitely unfun. Simple as that. At the end of the day it’s just another 2nd chance.
exactly number 103 of 1000 second chances for survivors in this game
the survivors still have what??? i watched it like 20 times and i still can't make out what you're saying.
I love that people are crying about how this is stupid. If plague could down you that fast everyone would be crying about that as well. The devs clearly put this in so it was more fair but everyone is just saying “what if you did it like this”. This community is really just ridiculous at times.
I dont think the claudette is fine
If only they added this "feature" to Trickster maybe people wouldnt hate him as much
(Seriously tho making killer powers that can deal health states continuously is a main Camping killer ingredient)
0:06 this reaction cracked me up way more than it should've. "this game is so survivor.sided, i can hit survivors so fast that they still have their s by the time i hit them again. my life is so hard😮💨"
It's completely fine. Plague has red puke for so bloody long and can use it in such an absurd range with absurd over-structure angles.
I don't know why Otz has a problem with this. I would've expected him to find this completely fair. Maybe it's just a heat of the moment thing, and unfortunately until they take this video down it's going to be immortalized and possibly used against him whenever he tries to give an opinion about the game's balance.
i have a secret for you regarding plague
DO NOT CLEANSE. Typical survivor main cant even understand the most basic counterplay but thinks willy nilly nerfs out of the blue are fine, plague isnt even that strong either.
I don't get why so many people are saying the range is absurd, it's one of the shortest distance projectiles in the game.
@@Fluffysbeans dead serious full out survivor mains being entitled thats all.
@@liandre9035 I mean, I still think Plague is one of the stronger killers, but I feel that's more due to her anti-heal abilities than anything.
More people need to take the time to play both sides, we'd have less quibbles over balance.
@@Fluffysbeans i did and do
and yet i still think this game is survivor sided af.
So much even i cant play killer anymore, why would i do that to myself? becoming survivor main again, when i started i only played survivor too.
her powers only counter is to be behind a wall and hide i think the i frames are fair cause there's not much u can do if she has her power and it doesn't prolong her much just a couple secs
These are the reasons some killers don't get played stupid unnecessary balancing things nobody asked for My God we just want our light burned back already 😞
I'm pretty sure people were asking for Wraith to not be light burned.
Yeah bit I'd rather keep the flashlight effects on nurse. Even with them she's the best killer in the game and the added counterplay by allowing you to prevent her from blinking.
And I'm not opposed to letting hag keep her changes so I don't have to bring flashlights just to get rid of hag traps.
@@plague1739 Yeah maybe nurse could keep them. Both Hag players and survivors are happy to see that flashlights aren't the best counter now, I say as a Hag player.
@@plague1739you can still prevent her from blinking though, I'm pretty sure
bubba too
yes it is fine lol
just bhvr devs being survivor sided as always
But then how come Bubba cuts through you much faster?
He can't trow you his chainsaw from 30ft away
cause plague is programmed so she can't hit the same survivor twice with one vomit blast, problem being that the survivor doesn't get i frames during the attack but for as long as the attack could go on afterwards, so even though he cancels the attack the survivor has i frames until the attack would have ended if not cancelled
bubba has no such limitations
@@konthex why?
Meanwhile Huntress having add-ons that transform her into a machinegun is fine.

wahhhh i can’t get 2 easy hits in a row wahh
2 easy hits 2 hard hits. The plague can't get 2 hits in a row period, and she's the only one.
Now stop crying about Otz pointing it out. It's pitiful.
In all fairness a survivor has to mess up pretty bad for most other double hits to happen, like Knight's
But yet the trickster can damage you and immediately his very next knife will count
pin.
It hinders the killer and benefits the survivors. Of course it's fine by this stupid game's standards. Anything that inconveniences the killer is apparently fine.
As a killer main I think it's fair to not be able to spit on them back-to-back that quickly but in this situation where otz couldn't just M1 because of the pallet so he was forced to spit twice feels like robbery from the devs
@@Josie.770 wannabe killermain playing in low mmr not knowing what everyone else is talking about.. With gen regression gutted and gen progression perks for survivors added i can now learn how to become a nurse main "which i dont want to" or simply stop playing killer, which i have to. This community and the braindead devs have robbed my abillity to play 50% of the game while the other 50% is still enjoyable but not very engaging since you see mostly the same killers because so many killers have become cripples you need 1000s of hours gameplay knowledge to benefit from them.
@@Josie.770 Damaging spit is only enabled by survivor action and it's temporary. I'd say managing to find a survivor during the time when plague is a very dangerous force is a fair trade.
