A can do a piece of work in 20 days. He works at it for 5 days and then B finishes it in 10 more days. In how many days will A and B together finish the work?
Solve it with full explanation

A's 1 day's work = 1/20 works for 5 days and does 5/20 work or 1/4th work
Remaining 3/4th work is finished by B whose 1day's work is (3/4)/10= 3/40
So A+B would be 1/20 + 3/40 = (40+60)/800
Reverse it..8 days

i didnt get why sir multiplied (X+6) , total number of men, with total work W. if X no. of men worked 30 days then in 1 day they worked W/30 . So, 1 man worked in 1 day = W/30X. 6 men were added and we wrote X+6. kindly clear the next step in which we multiplied (X+6) with W and made this equation (X+6)W/30X, why didnt W/30X(X+6)?
