Yes, that's what you do when you have the money. You try to immerse yourself into the sim, and the wheel usually helps with that, especially when you don't have VR, because in certain cars you have limited visibility on the gear/screen, and you want to be able to see that. Also, different wheels feel different, and certain wheels can be used for rallying, drifting, etc. which you should have the stripe to indicate where the center point on the wheel is. Other wheels can have different button layouts, too. And in the midst of a corner like the Grand Hotel Hairpin at Monaco, where you are rotating the wheel a lot more than usual, the wheel can have different places for your hands to easily be placed on for better or worse.
@@jonesymotor it's just dumb for every other sport you start from the bottom and fo to the top, real racing is basicly pay to win, if you rich you get a contract with a good team to become even richer it's so stupid there are people with actual talent behind the wheel and they are stuck working 6am to 9pm at our country

If only there were a way not to have seam between the monitors. Of course, best of both worlds would be VR setup with equally wide viewing angle and no screen door effect.
Agree!! Man I’m keen to see how VR tech progresses in the next few years. At the moment the graphics are not on par with a monitor set up but even then people who have raced VR have said it’s the most immersive they’ve ever raced in sim. Imagine the realism when VR can emulate monitor graphical fidelity!

That's about as close as it goes to the dream setup, I think. That looks like the most fun anyone could have outside the real thing.
The thing I appreciate more, is the perfect FOV and wheel position! Finally, someone that shows how to do it
It always fascinated me how sim racers can go from F1 racing to Idrt Rally racing to GT3 racing and back to F1. Each race has it's own characteristics, each game has it's own settings, each car has it's own feeling....and you guys just beat them all! Congratulations!!

holy hell.. that first clip i couldnt figure out what was going on, i was thinking you were using VR headset and Chroma keyed your rig in.. but nope, that is one VERY well build rig you have there!!

Took me a sec to realize what I was looking at. I was thinking holy smokes, this game has the cockpit graphics on point! Look at how they animated the driver adjusting their hands hahaha

The best part is none of these crashes are forced, these are racing clips he has were he has crashed during the recording, that’s something I don’t like about other crash compilations, the crashes in other crash compilations looked or are forced. That’s a positive for this video, none of these crashes are forced.

it limits the RPM, which will reduce wheels spinning and give the car more grip on the grass
