It's an OASYS, just set your controller keyboard to send on a different midi channel say Ch2 and set the Kronos to have some programs receive Ch2 while it's playing onboard sounds in Ch1. How did you map the controller to the separate sounds? Is that something you can only do in Sequence mode? Midi input changes, or some other method I haven't thought of?
It's just a matter of setting the Midi channels differently for the main keyboard and the controller. Controller is set to Channel 2 which controls all the timbers set to Channel 2. Main keyboard is channel 1.

Are you using 2 Korg Kronos?
That’s the Kronos 1 with an OASYS at the bottom. The sounds are compatible with the Kronos 2.
