- Here is my comparison between the KZ EDX and the latest KZ EDX Pro. They both have single dynamic drivers per side but the newer model is twice the price of the older EDZ model.

My suspicion: identical driver, different nozzle grill. On the MT1 the grill is a two layer thing, the outer layer is a robust showerhead type thing and 1mm behind it, there's a super fine steel mesh, these two elements interact with each other and serve as a filter. There's a possibility that they copied that.
Also there can always be sample variance, the way things are with these.
I will check tomorrow if they have the same specs as in the impedance and sensitivity.

KZ is the weakest of Linsoul's excellent brands. I used to listen to them formerly, but now stepped up the game to the Blon and moondrop family. Nice to hear that KZ is upping their game. Maybe Ill return one day.
KZ is not part of Linsoul as far as I am aware? Linsoul just sell and distribute them like any other store / seller. ZAS is my next video I am working on.

@@ruekurei88 Going from memory the KZ's have more bass maybe soundstage but they don't have that big 3k peak like the Quarks.

That's up to you as I prefer silicon tips. Foam tips help calm the highs.
I'm oftenly listening baroque and classical music. So wich one is better for that? What's your advice?
I would say the EDX Ultra which I reviewed after this unless you can only buy these two?
@@VortexReviews1 First of all, I would to say thank you for your response. However, I ordered EDX already. Because, in my opinion, there is a not big different between them in fact. Maybe I'm wrong, but as far as I understand, the situation is just like that.
@@sirac.kasgarli EDX is poor tuning these days as many releases afterwards are tuned better. EDX Pro has more bass and a slightly smoother treble.
i'm choosing between qkz vk4 / kz edx / kz edx pro... i usually do more on Music and Video Production editing... but also i want it for everyday use like callling and listening, and i'm also wondering if they do have good mics?? advance thanks for those will answer.
I have no idea about the mic but they are not bad as far as I am aware.
Edx mic is ok, but vk4 has the best mic and a more warm and balanced sound.
I would want to recommend vk4 but from what I heard they made a secret update that made new vk4 on the market worse than before, so you have to buy an older version.

It's okay for that but overly bassy in some cases.

EDA Balanced is better tuned than the EDX Pro.

In my country the price difference between them is just one dollar, and the edx pro comes with free shipping
I would go with the Pro but the new CCA CRA I reviewed is a better choice.

It's just a different sound but I do prefer the EDX Pro over the original EDX. You can probably just buy the original kind of tips again?

I just recently bought a EDX and its really big difference from the ZST X. More recessed bass and its more wider in comparison.The EDX has more clarity and good soundstage than ZST X.

It has slightly better tuning but I sold them both long ago as there are better options. My next video release is about the budget winners.

Hi.. I had the kz edx and it is thin sounding. Any input/suggestion why its like that?
Try different tips or sizes but I didn't like the EDX.
I've been enjoying the EDX more with "inverted kz stock tips" (google that). It seems to widen the stage a bit gives it more warmth.
One side also used to rub against my ear bone but now they don't so comfort is better too imo.
what iem u would give the title of budget king?
From what I have tried it is probably the QKZ VK4 then Blon BL01.

I prefer them over the original EDX wire.

Comfort is good on all three. Those are side grades and I did not like the ZSN Pro.

Which should I pick now - edx or edx pro? In my country the regular one costs 6$, the pro - 12$, twice more expensive, mostly listen to light and heavy rock, metal, dnb and punk, going to use with good smartphone with a dongle, what would you recommend? Other options like CCA cra are even more expensive for me so 12 is the peak, maybe there's any other valuable variants?
I prefered the EDX Pro over the EDX. I recommend the 7hZ Salnotes Zero if you can get that for a reasonable price.

@@VortexReviews1 Man thank you for helping me out, bought the EDX Pro and it's just amazing! All tracks are so deep, wide and full of details, they sound really naturally close without unbalanced to any part of the frequency range ;) Haven't tried anything expensive or professional but for mobile/PC And gaming it's a perfect option I think

Agreed for dyuamic batch mt1. dynamic batch is fatiguing because of it's new long nozzle, making it digging deep in your ear and boosted mid, high freq more than dyuamic version

Which means it has warm bass
