      Thanks for watching! The whole family was a mystery to me until one late night of internet research. All it takes is to find something interesting to you & running with it. If you like these, be sure to check out some of the other videos, lots of beautiful species 😉

      They are cool & I can see what you're talking about! Watching them orient their eyes as they hover looking for food, lol. Thanks for watching!

    I really enjoyed watching your videos. Very interesting too! You hear about aquarist keeping rare fish, but you don’t see them often. I see what you’re doing and you should get a grant to help. Do you have any awards for your work? Thank you for sharing!

      Thank you so much! I have a breeder award for BAP through the Chicago Livebearer Society but most of the species I breed have not been submitted. In the mean time just happy sharing my appreciation for these and other closely related creatures. Glad you like them too!

    Hi Andrew, I have been following you for some time. Now, I own two types of chracodons (lateralis from Pino Suarez and audax).

      Congrats, they are incredible creatures! I only have males of the Puente Pino Suarez. Hopefully yours breed well enough where you can share! I am looking!

      @@AndrewPiorkowski When it comes to the lateralis, I have two pairs from Puente Pino Suarez, so I am also hoping they breed soon. Yes, I will share once I have fry. Thank you for doing what you do.

    Hey Andrew, I always enjoy your videos. I saw in one of the fish room tour vids that you have Limia Tridens now. They are an awesome fish. I love the blue. Maybe you could do a species specific video on them sometime?
    Also, have you gotten any Poecilia Caucanus yet?

    • @AndrewPiorkowski
      @AndrewPiorkowski  5 лет назад +2

      Thank you so much! I was thinking about doing a new Limia video, because of the tridens but also the vittata Pat Hartman gave me after I visited him! Should be awesome! As for that poeciliid species, not yet but maybe some day!

    Thanks for videos. I have 10 in a 40 gallon with large rock pile , rarely see the fish since they were put in about one week ago. I notice your tank is fairly open. They do hide, wondering if I should remove rock pile. Also wondering if you have yours in 10 gallon? Put them in large tank as articles I read indicated they needed a large tank. been feeding flakes and live brine only see them occasionally when I feed the brine. any input would be much appreciated. Thanks

      Mine are in a 10 gallon, have that fake skull & a bunch of plants. They do love to hide as there is really no indicator as to the population size until I put food in the tank. The large tank size seems to be a general recommendation. I tend to just do what works for me. They started breeding the 10 so that's where they are for now.
