Also the fact you probably don't want to be lugging around an awkward, heavy box under one arm in the Wasteland. Seems pretty straightforward to me, I don't really understand why people keep thinking he should take it.
Yeah, those robots didn't have true intelligence since they ran on vacuum tubes, although Bethesda messed it up and made them appear WAY too intelligent. In OG, only massive computers and robots operated by human brains (so, technically not robots but cyborgs) had true intelligence.
@@glory1356yeah the robot has more intelligence than you all do, apparently. Healthy humans provide health organs. Hence why she needed to be healed before getting chopped to pieces.
@@zimvader25 Right, a decaying finger with non-matching DNA that would be rejected by the body without immunosuppresants (and likely cause septic shock first) is "healing" 🤣
@@glory1356 We're dealing with medical technology from the year 2077 of an alternate history that's already shown to be capable of doing miraculous things (like instantly allowing a person to survive normally fatal wounds, and even more extreme things in the games). @@zimvader25 It's not this deep. It's just his original programming. Hence the existence of bedside manners even when she's drugged and tied down to the gurney.
It's more of a result of his altered programming. Initially, he was a medical robot and was programmed to fix people up on the spot. Then he was altered to harvest their organs, but the need to heal them is still there in the original programming.
About Martha's jump, in the games the ghouls LUNGE at you. You think you're safe shooting them from a distance, and suddenly one jumps twenty feet straight at you. (And spoiler, it's never just one ghoul, they hunt in packs). First time that happened to me, my whole hair went white.
From what I understand, becoming a (non-feral) ghoul is just a mutation that happens through excessive exposure to radiation. Everyone on the surface has a little radiation, and it will cause them injury or make them sick, but it's nowhere near enough to 'turn' them. (Loving the reactions so far ^_^)
Loving your reactions! Just for clarification, it's Lucy's dad that's from Vault 31. He mentions in the first episode that he had never stepped foot out of 31 before meeting Lucy's mom. Can't wait for the next one!
The ghoul are more like pre war so they were made that way thru the bombs. So a massive amount of radiation all at once, it's different in the game from just drinking or eating radiated stuff u just die over time if u don't use a rad away or rad x.
You can eat people in the game . Some times you have no choice if your character hasn't eaten in days. Either that or die starving, and after the first it just gets easier. And ghouls are essentially immortal, you can kill them but they can't die of old age. In the game most pre war ghouls you meet are pretty ruthless, it would be hard to keep your humanity being alive in this world for 200 plus years.
also atleast in some games ghouls are actually healed by radiation or it provides them with energy. you don't want to fight glowing bloated ghoul in radioactive area.
In Fallout 4, if you drink radiated water, eat radiated food or walk thru a radiated area, you can take RadAway or Rad-x to deal with it. You won't turn into a ghoul.
well, only in fallout 76 you can as player turn into ghoul, tho not sure if its in game already or will be added next. rad-x temporary raises resistance to radiation , while rad-away purges certain amount of already accumulated in body radiation. so rad-x before receiving radiation and rad-away after.
OmG, there are so many things wrong with that finger transplant scene from a medical perspective. Lol! To be fair though, it's no more unbelievable than a serum you can inject that saves your life just because. Does it regenerate cells? Who knows! All that matters is that it works. 😆
Ghoulification is a form of mutation that can be induced by radiation, but like all mutation it's essentially random chance. Could be set off by a single exposure to a radiation source if you're extremely unlucky, but it's more likely if you're living in constant contact with low to moderate radiation sources (like having to eat irradiated food or drink irradiated water). Even then, it's better odds that the radiation buildup will simply kill you. Once you're a ghoul, you're essentially living on borrowed time because the condition will progress... but you don't know how long that progression will take. All ghouls (failing intervention) will eventually start going Feral (think of it as a violent variation of Alzheimers or dementia), but it's a craps shoot in terms of judging how long it will take. The show introduced the idea of medicine available in the LA region that can stave off that decline... but for Ghouls in the games (and likely ghouls in other regions) all they can really do is soldier on and hope like hell.
well, in fallout 4 there are pre-war family, well, actualy few hundred years older than war, that still lives and are not ghouls, but they are a *VERY* special case, gaining that longevity from very special source
why don pedro put him into casket and into grave? probly to keep him from escaping , or well, having him somewhere close but somewhere he can not really get out by itself.
I've never played the game but I read another posting that said snip-snip started as a medical robot but got programming later to harvest organs. So he tries to do both.
No, before the bombs fell it was a helper in the supermarket the organ harvesters had set up as the lab later on. The programming was amateurish which is why it's 'personality' was a bit “confused“ (because I can't use another word ;)
In the game you can’t pick up a box, only the contents of the box. That’s why the ghoul didn’t take the whole box of drugs 😂😂
I totally forgot about that! 😂 love the little things they do in this series!

The ghoul should’ve spammed x on the box
You sir, get the comedy that they can't touch.
You sir are a player, for the love of the game.
Cooper is a ghoul that hasn't turned feral. Roger was turning feral.
its nice that cooper put him on happy thoughts before, well, giving mercy to him.
*shot in the head*
Alyssa & Amber : Ooooohhh
Alisha: *head nod* Mmmhmm
😂
Snip Snip probably fixed Lucy's finger because he's a medical robot and saw something that needed fixing.

Fixing the finger would bring a better price when they sell on the hand. Martha is straight from the Michael Jackson school of zombies. lol

Plus most people who get radiation tend to well…die. The ghouls are a massive mystery all around.
@@stingerjohnny9951 hence why fev exposure is said to be a factor. even the drugs that cause one to be a ghoul have fev in them.

Watching his own movie, and seeing how he capitulated to the new writing mirrors his own path in the wasteland.
You know the ghouls gotta be a special kinda funky, especially out in the sun, good lord 💀
Alyssa that sweater is fire. That is all.
Lucy is not going to die She is the main character of the show! Lol.
People said that about Ned Stark too. Let them have their fear.

Btw, those are ghouls not zombies. They ain't contagious.
Interesting position. Do you have to be contagious to be a zombie?
